I went in for an eye exam at Piskova's facility on 08/28/12. Fast forward to 04/22/13. I went into a Lenscrafters to get glasses done with them. I did not have a copy of my prescription with me. I called Piskova's office at 3:45pm to request my precription to be faxed over, and the person on the phone refused because they needed my signature to release my medical records. I asked if I can fax her a letter to authorize her to go ahead and fax my prescription over, and she agreed. I faxed the letter and called again at 3:56pm to see if they received it, and she claimed she didn't. I called again at 4:09pm and the lady who answered claimed she could not help me because the office is closed. After looking for their hours of operation, they close at 5:00pm Monday-Friday, so the lady on the phone lied to me. On 04/25/13 at 3:40pm, I went to Piscova's office to obtain my prescription in person. The doctor was not present, and the office doors were locked. Again, their hours indicate they close at 5:00pm. I called the lady at the desk and she allowed me to come in to obtain my prescription. They informed me that they don't have my prescription because the doctor took my file home, and there is no way of obtaining it until Monday. I argued with them that it is within my right to take my presctiption. I threatened to report them and left. Two minutes later, they called and told me to come back and take my prescription. They didn't even ask me for ID or a signature to release my records. Again, lie after lie. On 05/02/2013, I went to pick up my glasses. I tried them on and couldn't see at all. It turns out that Rayna Piscova had written me the wrong prescription and I believe this was done on purpose.

This claim is a complete surprise to our doctor and our staff.  In 15 years of practice we have never seen such a claim and we are very saddenned by this.  We deeply care for our patients and their neesds, we have very good reputation with collegues and patients as well as great internet gradings.   Most of our patients are in our practice for over 10 years and are from Madera, CA.  We deeply care for them and their family and friends.   We do not have patients in Florida, and it seems that this claim comes from an anonymous person in  Florida (?).   We believe that this is a hoax and we want to take the opportunity to reply.  Several points in this "claim" could be proven wrong by many witnesses:

1./ On August 28, 2012, this "patient" claims to have been examined by Dr. Piskova in Madera, CA.

On August 28, 2012, no one was examined by Dr. Piskova in the Madera office, as stated in this claim.  Dr. Piskova was in surgery that day, in Fresno.  On that day, Dr. Piskova did not see any patients in her office in Madera.  The surgery staff in Fresno, the surgery nurses, the surgical techs, the patients that had surgery, and her office staff can verify that.  This person claims having a prescription for glasses dated August 28, 2012 when our doctor was perfoming surgeries in a different city.

2./ This person claims calling us and faxing us on April 22 and April 25 for a prescription.  Each prescription for glasses is handed to every patient at the end of the exam.  This is our office policy.  We do not need any "fax" for prescriptions.  We hand the prescription to each patient and they have the choice to either get their glasses in our office or in another place.

3./ Our office is open during normal business hours and it was open on April 25, 2013 as usual.  This person claims it was closed on April 25.  We have at least 20 witnesses that can confirm that it was open during normal business hours: our patients, our doctor and our staff.  We just don't know where exactely did this person go.  Our office was open and running.  This person did not come to us on April 25.

4./ This person claims that the " prescription was wrong" because the glasses dispensed by Lens Crafter did not fit properly.  As described above, a prescription for glasses was not given to any patient on August 28 2012 to begin with because our doctor was in surgery.

In any event, we have no control of the work of Lens Crafters'.  We are not in anyway affiliated with Lenscrafter and do not have any comments about their making of glasses.  We guarantee our glasses 100%.  Our glasses are replaced for free within one year of their making, for any reason, for any patient.  Customer satisfaction is our number one priority.  We stand 100% behind our glasses.
