Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I initially ordered my package in April of 2002. I didn't have enough money at the time, so they charged my credit card one initial payment of $349 and charged it each month thereafter $58.17 until the total hit $698.

In November, I extended the package for a year and a half for $87 because my deadline was coming up this month. I also paid another $198 for the part of the package and then my roommate was going to put the rest on her card for her share. So far, I have spent $983 on this waste of a trip. Before I let her put $898 on her card to pay for her and her boyfriend, I decided to look into it a little bit, and that is when I found this website. I found this website last Thursday (Dec. 18), sent out certified letters and faxes that Friday (the 19th) and by December 23, all $983 was credited to my account (without any hassles or even communication on their part!!) I was SHOCKED! Send certified letters from the post office to Dan Lambert, VP, and the compliance manager (listed in the letter below) and also fax them the same letter and send a letter to Lambert's administrative assistant. I GOT MY MONEY IN LESS THAN A WEEK. I have included my letter below, use it if you'd like, but you'll have to do the research in previous reports as to what the specific fax numbers are and who to send them to, I don't have PUT LIKE A LETTERHEAD

Mr. Lambert, Vice President

Ramada Plaza Resorts

2419 E. Commercial Blvd.

Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309

Dear Mr. Lambert:

I am writing this letter in regards to the utter disgust I have with your company. When I was initially contacted about your sun-filled exciting vacation package to Ft. Lauderdale, the Bahamas and Orlando, I was excited and took advantage (or so I thought, because I was actually taken advantage of) of the offer.

I made my first payment right then and there of $349. My credit card was then billed each month (as you will see in the following attachments) for the remaining balance of the first $698. Then, once that was all paid for I held off on paying the rest of the balance until I knew when I wanted to take the vacation. On November 21, I made another payment of $198 and on November 24 I paid $87 to extend my vacation time for an additional 18 months. This is a total of $983 that I have put down on the vacation package so far.

I have called several times within the last month and have gotten nothing but rude service and a run-around about this vacation. I have finally come to the realization that it is nothing but a rip-off and from what I have read on the internet, I will only get ripped-off even more when I actually take the vacation.

I have not taken the vacation and am now DEMANDING a full refund of my money within five business days upon receipt of this letter. I have sent this letter certified mail, so I will know when you have received it. I am also DEMANDING a RECORDED CONTRACT of all of the phone calls I have made to you. I have no intention of ever taking this trip or ever staying at a Ramada Resort ever again, but I do have every intention of contacting any and every company remotely involved with Ramada Plaza Resorts and all those companies who offer consumer protection if I don't receive a refund.

Class action suits in ten states and over 300 postings to the website, www.ripoffreport.com did not speak highly of the integrity of this agency. I have every intention, as I stated above, to take further action against this agency if I do not receive a full refund within five business days.

Please send a refund check to PUT ADDRESS HERE in the amount of $983. If I do not receive this refund, not only will I continue to contact people of higher authority, but I will also go to the website, www.ripoffreport.com, and any other website possible and leave numerous negative comments about this company.

Thank you for time,

Kari G

cc: Leslie Maynard, Compliance Department Manager

Gina Johns, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President

AND THIS IS WHAT WORKS!!! See my letter dated Dec. 18--got my money on the 23rd!! Also, if you can, send them copies of the credit card statements where the charges occurred. I am now $983 richer to go wherever I want!!! I have learned my lesson

I would like to first off thank Keri for her ifo on taking a more positive and productive action to The Ramada Dream trip vacation to hell....My husband and I recv'd this wonderfully misleading bunch of lies re: The dream vacation that is a 1st come 1st serve trip with 1st class/4star hotels...meals, rental cars, cruises with state room and a "butler"...trip to Puerta Vallarta and a trip to Las Vegas and then let the drum rolls began....You also get a "surprise" on the 1st page in your booklet when you turn over your "1st" $698...wow, it was a trip to Virginia...THEN you actually get to give them another $698 and be suckered in like us and pay $269 more and get upgraded!!!! Oh by the way we were even told that our rental car, which we upgraded, they pay the gas and insurance on too...Well to make this sickening story short...It was so far from the truth that thanks to Keri from Wisconsin we are on the road to trying to get compensated for our "trip from hell"....If you were involved in this scam go to the better business bureau, Attonery General, you'll need to fax a detailed letter to Leslie Maynard 954-331-4189....call Dan Lambert's office (he is in charge of it all) and speak to his secr. Gina John and you will have to send all receipts and a letter of complaint. 954-630-9449 address: Mr. Dan Lambert 2419 E. Commercial Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, Fla 33308 Also call Ben Brown with The Florida Dept of Agriculure 1-850-488-3022....and lastly that I was told to do is Division of Consumer Services 2005 Allapache Pkwy Tallahase, Fla 1-800-435-7352 You can also inform all travel agency in your area re: your expierence.I hope I gave some help to anyone else who have been in our shoes. When it feels like a scam, then it is a scam

Thanks Keri of Milwaukee WI Dear Keri: My husband and I just received the same vacation letter with a bonus check to use worth $1,600. We did not give out our credit card number because it felt like a scam to me. When it feels like a scam, then it is a scam. They refused to let us call back the next day. After getting off the phone, I searched the internet and found your report. Thank God for people like you, who tell others so that they won't get hurt. My husband and I thank you for reiterating our initial feelings. This company is a scam. By the way, the address they gave us was 3155 John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL. Let others know. By, the way, we lived in Milwaukee for many years before moving to S.C.
