We bought out Rainbow Playground about 12 years ago.

It was not used very much, as it was consistently unstable. We didn't care much because my daughters quickly outgrew it.

Now that we want to actually use it, thinking that a lifetime warranty is "lifetime", we took some pictures, sent them to Rainbow and just looking at the pictures they decided we neglected the playground and hence it's not covered.

It is written in a warranty (we never received by the way) along with many other conditions that make it very, very easy to reject any claim.

So, when you hear lifetime warranty, at least from Rainbow, believe me. Lifetime is Not.

Mature? Adult? What does that have to do with honesty?

A lifetime warranty is meaningless unless it's a lifetime warranty.

Make it 5 years, 10 years if you want. Don't make it a "lifetime" warranty and then refuse to honor it.

Moreover, you just need to look at the pictures to refuse it? How responsible is that?

Don't talk to me about maturity or adulthood. The set had other problems from the beginning. Yes, it's my fault I didn't report them (such as the swing chain immediately corroding), and that's why I didn't mention it.

If you are going to refute what I said, you better come up with arguments, not insults. This is not the place. Insults come up when arguments don't exist.

An example of an argument for you to foolow:

The warranty (which again, we never received) has a condition that the set need not be neglected. Who decides whether something was neglected? A picture? Who has the authority to decide. If the veredict is based on the manufacturer good luck.

THIS is an argument. Do you have any?

YOU are incorrect in your ASSUMPTION!!! YOU are confusing YOUR DESIRE with what can actually be done for you. By "lifetime" they mean your lifetime and the term ONLY covers the QUALITY of products and workmanship. It DOES NOT cover because your kids broke it. It does not cover YOU didnt keep it maintained. YOU have assumed that the lifetime warrenty means that in YOUR LIFETIME you are allowed to change in your old swing set for a new swing set. One wonders how YOU as an adult can so horribly misinterpret the warrenty information. NOTHING in life is FREE!!!!! That includes warrenties. While YES its great that you purchased a warranty, you must QUALIFY for redemming said warranty. Too many consumer purposfully misinterpret a warranty to 100% cover THEIR rump. The reality is that a warranty is useful as long as YOU follow all the terms and conditions of said warranty. Many times you have to REGISTER those lifetime warranties. Im going to bet that you DID NOT register your warranty at the time of purchase. Either way, YOUR misinterpretation of the warranty DOES NOT make it a ripoff. In fact, if we were going to be completly honest, YOU are a person who is attempting to SCAM the original company. Then when its found that YOU have purposfully misinterpreted the warranty, YOU go online and bash them for not giving YOU your way. Thats not very mature and imagine the message YOU are giving to EVERYONE!!! Oh its ok to DEFAME a company because YOU didnt get your way.
