RAC Contracting LLC / Robert A. Colella Ripped me off for $1,300, hires "paid under the table" workers then stiffs them! North Reading Massachusetts
Robert Colella of RAC Contractor LLC of North Reading MA has been hiring "unemployeed" laborers to perform work for his contracting company over the past few years, then stiff them when it is time to pay the wages.
This past October, he hired me and another fellow to sheet rock the boiler room ceiling at the Underwood Elementary School in Newton, MA. After putting in 52 hours and spending $70.00 in transportation costs, he stiffed us by refusing to pay us for the time we worked. He owes us $1,300 each and continues to avoid settling the debt.
He recently took a down payment from a home owner in Melrose, MA to do ad an addition to the back of the house. He showed up and did a minor amount of work, then walked off the job, thereby stiffing this poor guy out of more than $10,000.
This guy is unscrupulous and most often pays his hired help "under the table" thereby committing tax evasion. He's been reported to the IRS and the Better Businees Bureau for his nasty practices.
Whatever you do, do not hire this guy - you'll regret it!
