I "financed" a mattress set and head board thru RAC in August 2012. When  i made the second payment via telephone, the manager, Derrick said he would send my reciept via USPS. When I opened it and read the reciept, I discovered that I am paying for insurance that I declined when the account was opened.

I then told him to remove it and he promised he would. Guess what? Now he claims that it cant be removed and I am also paying for Benifits Plus. These are unwanted and are not explained when the contract was signed. I inquired about these add ons when i signed and was told they would be removed. Now I Have tried contacting the managers District manager, Tina, and she is very rude. I tried explaining to her in person when she was in Hot Springs, and she talked over me and tried to make me feel foolish. I then wanted to exercise my "early payout" option on my mattress and headboard and was told I had to wait until the end of the month!??

That evening while I was out with my girlfriend at Applebees, I saw the DM and manager sitting at the bar. My girlfriend suggested that i try and a more subtle way to discuss my account. I approached her and offered to buy her another martini and the store manager Derrick jumped up in an aggresive manner. I was taken aback by his behavior. This appeared to be an inappropiate relationship between the two of them. Needless to say I will mail my payment in and payoff the full amount at the end of this month.

Stay away from RAC Acceptance and save yourself the headaches.
