I have AT&T service.
Quest illegally identified thmselves as ATT&T when they were actually Preferred Long Distance.
They totally scammed me and have been fined for ove $200 Million dollars by the DOJ.
Apparently, when I look them up on the Internet, there are several thousands jusst like me who have been scammed as well.
What can I do?

Hey, I jsut read your posting and I have to make something clear. Preferred Long Distance or Preferred Telephone company is not and has not been affiliated with Qwest. They do the same thing to Qwest. I use to work for a company that sold Qwest service and we would CONSTANTLY get calls about how Preferred would say they are working for Qwest or on their behalf to lower your phone bill then slam you. Qwest has been trying to stop them for years. I just wanted toclear that up because they messed up a lot of good companies with their crap.
You can 1st contact AT&T and they should take yo back without any cancellation fees due to the process, but you will have to disputet he bill in court for the Preferred, but if they can't produce a recorded phone call clearing identifying themselves and you clearing accepting their offer or a written form stating you agree to their offer, then you are good. hope this helps.
