PURITY MEDICAL PRODUCTS Telemarketing Scam Placentia, California
Purity Medical Products called me at work saying that the gloves I had ordered were now available and they were going to ship them out. They acted like it was a routine courtesy call and offered me a gift card for my business. I told them that I didn't order gloves and they claimed that the person who had my job before me ordered them and they were going to cost over $500! When I asked them to send me proof of this order I was told it was a verbal contract only and they started getting rude! I told them I would ask around to see if anyone knew about an order of gloves and would call me back. They called me back at least twice a day asking about the gloves and insisting that we owed them money!
Eventually they said that they could substitute syringes instead of gloves for the same price, which is not something a legitimate company would do. I talked to a coworker who had a similar experience with them years earlier.
This company is a scam! Tell them you are going to contact the BBB and hang up on them. Eventually they will stop, but a few years later they might start harassing you again.
