Purity Medical Products Claim glove and syringe shortages to scam you into buying Internet
I've received three calls at my medical office in the last 2 weeks from Purity Medical salespersons and have heard their shady tactics first-hand.
Two calls last week claimed shortages of powder-free gloves, and they've set aside "X" number of boxes so I won't be affected by the shortage. The calls ended quickly when I told them we did not order our medical supplies from them.
A third call came this week claiming a new shortage - 1cc and 3cc syringes. I put on my best "wow, I'm amazed" voice when I told this saleswoman how unusual it was that last week there was a shortage on gloves and now, it's syringes. Very strange, don't you think? I told her again that we do not order our supplies from them. She suggested she would remove our number from her calling list. I said, "Why don't you do that."
I've told everyone at my office that all calls for supplies come through me, and if a call comes from Purity Medical, I've LOVE to talk to them again.
I used to work in an insurance office and learned about the copier toner scam some 20 years ago. Now, they've progressed to medical supplies? What a sad way for these people to make a living. I doubt they have it in them to be ashamed of what they're doing.
