30 years later i am haunted by the fact that Psi institution was still recieving loans and funding under my name . I have not been able to resolve this issue and file my taxes for the last few years because the Department of Education has been intercepting my tax money. I am a victim of fraud, the schools reputation explains itself ( Shut down for Fraud). My issue in this matter has not been resolved yet. Thank you sincerely Richard Cosom3rd

I am not an attorney. However, I am very experianced in this matter. Somethings you need to know.
1. Federal Student Loans do not have a statue of limitation. So it could be a 40 years and they can sue you.
2. Depending on the school you may owe at least the first semester fees even if you attend 1 day of school. this is more common in calsses and schools attended in the 80s to mid 90's.
3. Not filing your taxes is dumb. If they seize your tax money then it applies to the debt.
4. You more than likely have a judgement againt you. No limitation on how long a judgement from student loans can stay on your credit.
5. Student Loan debt as this time is exempt from bankruptcy.
6. Also , I believe they can attach to your estate when you die. They can even seize any life insurance policy.( not 100% sure on life insurance policy
However, you probably have penalties and interest that far exceeds the cost of the loan. I would contact them and get it settled. Not doing your taxes is the wrong way of handling things.
