My wife and went to a Sleepy's mattress store in Beverly MA and purchased a new mattress. It's cost was 2500.00, I put 1269.00 and finance the rest, the Sales man had told us that the loan had high interest, my failure had been not asking how high, I knew and believe the state law, that only allowed 29% as the highest it could possibly be. Unfortunately when the Seventh, 315.00 was deducted for our checking, I realized that the interest charged on this purchase could of actually exceeded MA limitation. I called progressive and to my total surprized discovered that I mysteriously still owe 1436.00, if I had 913.51 I could paid it off, the next day i called and became 1023 and some change to pay it off. Seriously how can that be, I am absolutely baffled. I am now standing fast at refusal to pay this, I do believe that they have no legal right to pursue in claiming anymore from me.
