I work for a large retail store selling bed and bath products. I'm not happy with the job and pay so the phone call I got from Bonnie had me a little excited. I should have known better.

Two days ago I'm at work and I here "Christy line 1". I answer it thinking its my boyfriend. It was Bonnie who was ready to scam me!! The call was short since I was at work. She started out by telling me that I had helped her the week before and she liked my attitude. I must have been having a good 5 minutes or something ;) She said she was looking for 4-6 people to put through management training and asked if I was interested in finding out more. I'm thinking yes because I'll soon to be 35, working retail (it's pretty much a college kids summer time job)and have no college degree.

I did ask if this had anything to do with telemarketing and if it did I wasn't interested. She said no and agreed with my dislike for telemarketers. In the back of my mind I was thinking pyramid but I want out of my job so bad I'm willing to listen to her. Anyway, I gave her my home number and told her the best time to call me.

I rushed home from work today so I wouldn't miss her call. What she had to say sounded great. She asked if I had heard of Primerica and I said no. She said a lot of people haven't because they don't advertise. She mentioned they were a sister company of Citigroup which I have heard of. I thought it was legit when I recognized that name not realizing at the time I probably heard of it on the news because of the Enron connection my dad later mentioned.

Bonnie informed me that the company was growing and planned on opening more offices in the surrounding areas. These people she wanted to hire would go through training and manage these offices. It sounded too good to be true but remember I have no college degree and I work retail. This sounded perfect. I really thought if I was hired I would have a career instead of just a job. As of right now I have an interview set up for Tuesday next week. I was going to be working on my resume which she asked for and I was going to spend one of my few Saturdays off of work to go to the mall and fork out some cash on a business suit since she asked me to dress professionally.

Thinking it was a good idea to know as much as I can about Primerica before my interview, I did a search on Google. Oh man I was had. Well, almost! I knew it was too good to be true. That s***k almost had me. I'm really bummed after reading all the stories here at ripoffreport.com. I'm just so thankful for this site because I didn't waste too much time and I haven't lost any money. I know for a fact that as soon as Bonnie the evil woman who has broken my heart had asked for the $199 I have read about here I would have told her to kiss my butt. I'm sorry for those of you who have posted here that were ripped off by thieves like Bonnie.

I can't wait to call Bonnie to have a talk with her and to let her know that I'd rather get 199 dollar bills, shred them and let my cats crap on them in the litterbox, than give it to her.

Thanks so much ripoffreport.com!! You saved me money (for the outfit I planned on buying that I don't need at the moment), time and more sadness. I really appreciate it!
