The phone call that you made to set up your installation was thru the company Prime TV. Just like numerous other companies, Prime TV will lie (about your local channels), and miss-represent themselves (often answering the phone "Direct Tv, how can I help you") just to make a sale. After they do make a sale and install the equipment, that equipment becomes your property, no refunds. Prime tv is then free and clear, not needing to answer any complaints from you, or appologize for incorrect equipment being installed, sloppy installations, REFUNDS, or installer issue's. So who does the customer call next to complain?? Direct TV of course. Many of prime tv's customers call dtv to complain about installs, rebates, or rude installers, but guess what? Prime tv and Direct Tv are two totally seperate companies. All dtv can do is refer you to prime tv. You may be happy to learn that Direct Tv recently fired Prime Tv from doing dtv installations. This makes me very happy as a direct tv entertainment consultant. Next time, be absolutely positive that you are speaking with the company you intend on doing business with. Not a company looking for a quick sale.
