Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This Company is owned BY Cheryl Upshaw,RN. The State Pays her for each patient that she has and she hires sub-contracter Certified Nurse assistance (CNA) and Non-Certified assistance(na) to care for her patients which that is no problem.the problem come in when Cheryl deside not to pay her aide for the hours that they worked.so many good employee have left the office because they dont like how Cheryl is doing her employee wrong by not paying the total hours that thay worked. she will lie to them and say she dont know what you are talking about. we all are on the patti clock in- and out system.

she can go into the computer and change the time. to make it look like you didnt clock in or out. the day you worked and she is not going to pay you.thats not right for the State to let her stay in business. because she keep scaming peoples to work for her and when it time to pay them, she pay what she want to pay you, that not right. i need my money. she need to be made to pay everybody who she scamed their money back.and the doors to her business closed.

Again, some aides hear and see what they want to hear and see. Some aides just do not understand-even though it is thoroughly explained, they voice an understanding, and it is in writing with their signature. Time ends on the 15th and the last date of the month at 12 midnight. You are not paid on those dates!!!! We must have time to process the payroll and check documentation. Your direct deposit will hit your acct within 7 days from date of time ending. No company pays a person the exact moment that their time ends for the pay period. I have bank records for every payment!!! I guess the bank and I are running some type of scam????? I can prove, clearly, everthing that this company does. *Note-I intentionally used the Patti System to rid my company of corrupt aides. Many aides were very upset that they could no longer cheat and lie on the patients about their time. No more having an 80 y/o client with dementia, sign their name to whatever the aide put in front of them (3-4 weeks after it was alledgedly done). Giving it to me and I was bound by law to pay it. Life is much more simple in my office at this time. The office support love it!!!!!

An effort to cease home health fraud

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

As we all know, medicaid/medicare fraud costs this country millions of dollars every year. The fraud is committed by the providers and sometimes, unknowlingly, by the patient. In an effort to not be involved in such practices, cease any and all complaints (concerning time spent) from patients and aides, and to make accountability mandatory, I joined a very detailed and fool proof system for in home nursing services. It is used nationwide and used by many companies. I do not own the system. No one can "manipulate" the system. This system is computer generated and set by a world clock. It is similar to a time clock at an office. It does not discriminate. And, it is not sensitive to emotions. At any given moment and at any place in the world, I can access the internet and see exactly (1) what time the aide clocked in (2) what time the aide clocked out (3) what the aide reported as his/her duties (4) what phone the aide called in /out on. This is exactly how everyone is paid-for the time actually spent with the patient. Let me assure you that I keep extremely detailed documentation of everything that goes on. By law, I cannot and do not bill the government for time not spent with the patient. The Patti system and Rosemark Scheduling System communicate and give my company many different reports. It is also the exact same reports used for paying the aide and for billing the government (my financial records are monitored on a regular basis. There are many cases that I have paid the aide and I was never reimbursed because the aide failed to give the appropriate documentation). I will give you just a few (and there are many, many more) examples of aides demanding that they receive payment: 1) their car broke down on the way to patient's home (2) they had to leave the patient and see about a family member-all the time the aide remained on the clock and never informed the office (3) clocked in, left client's home, and came back to clock out (4) clocking in/out from their/aide's home phone (5) manipulating an elderly sick patient with their personal problems and having the patient give them money and never paying it back (6) burden the patient with their personal problems and saying that the patient told them to leave early (7) aide clocking in/out while patient is hospitalized (8) the bank took the direct deposited paycheck due to overdrafts and the want me to give another check. I and the other RNs are not there. We rely on anyone to inform us of questionable practices we cannot catch right away. 100% of the time, an aide is found to be cheating the system by a government rep making a surprise home visit, our RNs making a surprise home visit, the office randomly calling the patient, or a patient's family member calling us/government rep to complain about the aide. The government call us immmediately via cell. It is very difficult to make a person understand (that is accustomed to handouts and excuses) that we all must work and be accountable, if we want a paycheck. We understand and empathize with the aide's personal life. The job that an aide does is very important. However, I will not jepordize my license and the patient's welfare for an aide. In my 25 years as a RN, I have seen good and bad in every field of work. Unfortunately, in home nursing is a type of work where there is no one physically over the aide and the aide may feel that he/she can do whatever he/she want to do. Eventually, they are caught and they "cry" because they got caught and want to blame everyone but themselves. Believe me, no one will believe the stories and scams that some aides have pulled on me and the patients. It is unreal!!! 678-627-8295
