Portfolio Recovery Associates, Virginia They called me to settle a debt, judgment, that i was already payimg on for 2 years. We settled after a few phone calls, on half of what was left. They called my moms house to inquire about that same debt, one month ago, however its for the whole amount, before i had started paying. What they didnt expect is that i hAVE THE CANCELLED CHECK. Portfolio Recovery contacted me on a debt, judgment ,that i was already paying on for 2 years.They said my account was givien to them to settle. After a few phone calls, we settled. Last month they called my moms house about this debt, but it was for the total amount, before i had made any payments at all. What they dont know, well they do now, is that i have the cancelled check. Their trying to say they never contacted me nor did they cash my check for 3866. It was a check through my credit card, which i was reluctant to do, however i wanted to settle this matter. Someone cashed my check and now im baffeled at what to do now. Please help.Mark Davidson is the ceo and i have all his emails of him telling me i m crazy, basically.
