We bought a pool from the scam company Pool Depot. Same story as everyone else. Tried cancelling the next day though and they told us that it would cost a restocking fee of $1500.00. Of course we did not have that so we went ahead with the deal.

To make a long story short the filter system motor burned out in the first week, free pool cleaner from polaris broke first month, (Polaris did replace it for free but it has not worked for the last 2 1/2 years). Installer had size 13 feet and after 3 years of having the pool there are still huge footprints in the bottom of the pool.

We have fixed over 50 leaks and holes in the pool liner over the last few years and the liner was guarenteed for 25 years. Unfortuneately they will not replace it, they told us to go to home depot and buy a patch kit. Nice response. We were told to just use bleach in the pool. Ya, right. You can use all the bleach in the world and you still will have a pool that is green most of the summer. The solar cover disintegrated after two summers and that has long since been put in the garbage.

We refinanced our house and paid off the $7000.00 loan a long time ago. Numerous calls to the company ended in them telling us that if we told anyone about this that they would sue us for defamation of charactor. Well I told plenty of people and they didn't sue me but I still am out $7000.00 and I will never see it again.

In retrospect I realize for close to that amount I could have put an inground pool in and been better off. One day we will tear down the pool send it back to Pool Depot so they can sell it again to make money for lawsuits that people will eventually start filing against them and put in a real pool.

By the way if someone from Pool Depot wants to know who sent this believe me I have no problem telling them who I am and talking to them all about their "wonderful" product.

Lisa.

I have also been ripped off by the Pool Depot. We were in the same boat. We were told by the salesman that the credit check was not an obligation to purchase the pool. Appox. a day later we found another pool at local dealership and wanted to go with them but when we called The Pool Depot they told us we were under contract and they would no allow us to cancel. They told us they would file a lean on our house and property and take everything we own. When they came out to put up the pool they left foot prints in the bottom and 2 days later our liner was leaking. When we called them they said it was not their responsibility. Even though the liner was supposed to be life-time warrenty. The people at the Pool Depot are rude and uncooperative. If anyone is interested in purchasing a pool stay away from the Pool Depot. You will thank me later.

I am being sued by pool depot who used to be Hawaiin pools. This company forged my signature on applications for a high intrest loan for a pool that they sent me without my permission.
