Have coupons for Pizza Hut? May as well throw them away. Read the fine print, says "Subject to change without notice." Thats right. They don't honor them, and talking to the manager repeated times does nothing. Filed a BBB Complaint, thats as far as that went.

I have numerous coupons for a 'deal' to get a large 3 topping or specialty pizza for $10.99, and a second for only $8 more. Sure. The last 3 times I ordered, even though I had a coupon and told them exactly what it said, they charged me $19.99, not $18.99.

That's ripoff #1. The first time I called to correct this it was a 5 minute ordeal that resulted in a still incorrect price, less than what it should have been. The second time I let it slide, because it wasn't worth the 5 minute headache and they didn't charge me right the first time. The third time I called to no avail, thats what the price is and "I can't change that."

The coupon flyer clearly states all the available toppings, and one of those toppings is "Extra Cheese." Well, if you've been following the news at all, cheese prices are up. There were reports on the news that pizzerias were going to start raising prices to cover the cheese price increases. Understandable. Whats not understandable is not honoring the coupon. I know what it costs to make the pizza, and what profit is left at Pizza Hut. I used to work there. They have more than enough margin to honor their coupon, but refused to do so.

Thats ripoff #2. I got the song and dance, and "Extra Cheese" is not a regular topping but a "double topping", and they charge for double toppings. Whatever, coupon flyer says otherwise. Honor it. They repeatedly refused to do so.

So if you want to get ripped off with your coupon you thought was going to get you a good deal, by all means call Pizza Hut! If you like being charged the amount offered to you and expect them to have any consideration for keeping a customer at all, stay away from Pizza Hut. Apparently they think they have enough customer base to charge as they see fit, but that doesn't fly in my book.

Please tell me that you did not write three paragraphs over a dollar. Fine print or not, pizza comes AUTOMATICALLY with cheese (unless the white stuff is called something else where you are). If you are "not happy" with a dollar (your mistake not theirs) maybe this would not be the right time for you to order take out.

Nowhere on the coupon does it explicitely state that extra cheese is a topping. In fact, most pizza hut coupons state in very tiny letters on the bottom that extra cheese is extra, and that the second pizza for 8.00 is now only 1 topping, not 3. Also, your 1.00 upcharge may be due to the crust type. If not, you need to talk to the manager at the time of purchase or simply order online.
