Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Just wanted to pass along a complaint my wife and I

had and experienced dealing with Jeff Kerns (Sales) at Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale, AZ on February 28, 2007.

I spoke with Jeff over the phone for about a week.

Told him we were looking for a used Murano or Maxima

and would be trading in our 2002 Subaru Outback. Jeff

valued the outback at $12K and said he had found a

Maxima for us that fit into our budget. I scheduled

an appointment with Jeff for Wednesday, February 28th

at 11:30AM. We were coming from Tucson so I mentioned

to Jeff several times that I do not want to waste my

time or his and he stated over and over that our time would not be wasted. Both my wife and I had to take a day off of work and drive up from Tucson (150+ miles each way) based on the vehicle that Jeff claimed he had and we were prepared to purchase based on inspection and test drive.

Upon arrival at Pinnacle-Nissan at 11:00AM on February 28th Jeff wasn't anywhere to be found. Receptionist finally sent out another salesman to work with us. New salesman stated that Jeff had to go pick up a car and should be back in 40-45 minutes. I told him about the vehicle that Jeff stated he had - - 2005 Dark Grey Maxima with approximately 30,457 miles, moon roof, leather, and navigation system. The salesman had no idea what we were talking about. Said they never had a vehicle like this and then tried selling us another vehicle for $4,000 more and less options.

We were at the dealership from 11:00AM to 1:00PM and

never seen or spoke with Jeff Kerns. At this point I

believe Jeff doesn't even exist. I am very unhappy of

the tactics that Jeff Kern's used (if he does exist)

as it was a pure bait-and-switch. The dealership should take responsibility for its employees and immediately fire ndividuals that practice this. I confirmed our appointment with Jeff 1-day prior to coming and he insisted he would be at the dealership from 8:00AM through the remainder of the day on February 28th and they still had the car.

I feel given that our time was wasted, and a promise from Jeff broken, a vehicle trying to be sold to us that your dealership never even had possession of in the first place - - - I feel Jeff should be reimbursing us for lost time at work and the amount of gas getting to/from dealership.

I will be filing a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Arizona Better Business Bureau, and also list our negative experience with Pinnacle-Nissan at www.ripoffreport.com.

I asked the salesman that worked with us to please have Jeff give us a call so I could express my concerns and also expect an apology - - - as of today (March 5th) I have not heard from Jeff Kern's.

I have heard from the Sales Manager and he claimed the owner of the dealership had authorized him to sell us a used Murano they got in on trade for what they paid for it. He told me what they paid (claimed to have paid) and said they would be sticking approximately $3,000 into it to recondition it (seemed very high for a 2005). Cost price wasn't any lower than we could buy the vehicle at any other dealership. It was actually higher then we could buy the same vehicle for with less miles everywhere else.

Thanks,

Brad and Nicole Herbst
