Tent sale at Metro Center is something to avoid. These people are peddling more than cars. Pinnacle Nissan has so many pigs feeding from their trough that the Finance Manager is the real bad guy here. The salesman feeds you to this guy (O'Hare) who proceeds to pick your pocket with tire warranties, paint warranties, anti-theft warranties, that run into several thousands of dollars. He never explains the real cost.

If you don't read every word before you initial or sign, you will be stuck with a car that never be worth what you owe on it. He will lie to your face when you ask him to explain the cost. If you want to pay cash for some of these warranties the price goes up. What he is doing to you is rolling the cost of all this crap into your loan. The lender is just another pig at the trough.

Believe me when I say this man will cheat his own mother. I am an old guy who is ashamed to admit that this man ripped me off, and Pinnacle Nissan will not come to your defense. Just try to talk with anyone who knows anything, or get someone to return your calls. In all my years of buying new cars, buying a USED car from these people is a dangerous thing to do.

The sales guy over-stated the Kelly book value by several thousands of dollars to make me feel like I was getting a good deal. They will then "mark the value down" to make you feel even better. However, they still end up selling it to you for about a thousand dollars above book. Know the value of the car you want before you go to buy. Don't ever think these people will tell you the truth about anything. Don't even go to this place.

Nothing unusual here.

This is nothing unique to Pinacle Nissan. If you don't do your homework before buying a car, any dealer will try to sell to you above book. That is the whole point of negotiating the price. As for the bogus warranties and extra charges, just about all dealers try to add those on too. That is the primary job of the finance manager, to bulk up the contract with useless extras. For your part, you are free to say "no". I'm not saying you weren't treated badly, it's just that your specific complaints could apply to the purchase of a used car at any dealer. If you don't know the value of the car going into negotiations, it's just about impossible to get a fair deal on a car.
