Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My daughter and I went to Pinellas Auto Brokers looking for a reasonable and reliable vehicle for my 15 yr old grandson for his birthday. We drove an '02 Hyundai Elantra for about 2 miles and it seemed OK with a few problems. The AC was blowing cold air so the broker charged it. We purchased the car with a credit card and drove out of the business. We only got 2 to 3 miles (about 10 min) and the car was shaking so bad that my daughter couldn't drive it. We tried to put gas in the car but it wouldn't let us and it kept shooting out. The AC was barely blowing any cool air but not cold. We returned to the business and they told us that they couldn't help and we had to keep the car. I told them that I wanted to return it because we couldn't even drive it home the way that it was. They said that's my problem and they would not reverse the transaction. I had no way to even get the car home since it wouldn't run so I had to pay a towing service $164. to tow it over the bridge to where I live. The business was very nasty to me and said that it was my problem to figure out

I paid $2,227.62 for this product. Payment was made by credit card. The name of my credit card is Visa.

I contacted John (salesman) and the office assistant. Also spoke with the manager on the phone. on November 04, 2016, and explained that the product was unsatisfactory. I fully explained that the car would not run and we couldn't even get it over the bridge to get it home. I told her the exact problems and she said that it was our problem because she couldn't do anything. Failure to receive an appropriate response to this problem has prompted me to write directly to you.

On November 04, 2016, I contacted Contacted my lawyer by phone and also filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs. and explained that the product was unsatisfactory. I explained about the issues with the car and the inability to be able to drive it home. I also explained that I had to pay a towing service $164. to tow the car to my home.

I took the vehicle to my mechanic and it cost $2,095. for him to make the necessary repairs to make the car safe to drive. Numerous lug nuts were missing and he advised it was good that we didn't try to drive it across the Skyway Bridge because we might have lost a tire or worse.
