Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The first two months of school were good. The teachers were good, but once we got into the actually class it was bad..The teacher of the medical assistant class was not professional. I believe she just really didn't care about what she was doing, as far as educating. She rarely enforced certain hygiene for cleaning medical equipment, like the thermometers.

I learned that from the MAA teacher. She didn't push cleaning of hands much either. Every segment of classes she should ask us what we expected of her and when we would say what we wanted more she'd get mad at us. We had to ask her to. Actually go over the chapters like a normal teacher would. Lectures were few. The homework in our notebooks she never really corrected.

You could write anything and get a good grade. The only reason the Ma's passed our state test for registration as an MA is because we are given cheat sheets when each student took the test they'd come back and we'd write down the questions they remembered. Otherwise we wouldn't pass. Also, Pima plays favorites with students whoever they feel is the best student they send to Children's hospital. The MA teacher has the office managers call her directly on student referrals.

So, beware is you make her mad she'll give you a bad referral. She actually told myself and other students on how she gave a student a bad referral because she didn't like her. However, the worst thing is since I graduated I have applied for more that 50 to 60 places. I can't get hired as an MA.
