I am from Canada and dont like your comment about the canadian system being worst off then your american way. I do agree that we need to improve it but your american system is just as terrible if not worse. I have been defrauded out of 1800 u.s. dollars from a company in California and after calling that state`s attorney the bbb and countless other agencies I still have not been able to do anything about it. The worst thing is that I found out that these agencies knew about this for 2 years now. So before you critize others why dont you look on your side of the fence.

The base of operations was relocated to Halifax Nova Scotia--a foreign country--and my state attorney general here (California) can do nothing, as this is out of their jurisdiction. Gass and associates are protected by lenient Canadian bankruptcy laws. Canada does not have state attorney generals who protect the interests of consumers like in the U.S. They have something like a district attorney (who are, coincidentally) located in the same Halifax bldg. as Pantellic) They told me this and that consumers who have been victimized in Canada should make claims to the local police. End result: Don't waste your time & energy unless you want to make yourself completely frustrated at your inability to even file a consumer complaint in Canada. Your best bet is to write letters to editor of the Halifax newspaper to vent consumer frustration

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: The Fraud Chick Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: ALL of you should be overwhelming the Attorney General's web page with your complaints. Seven or more complaints in a short period of time will get the AG's investigator's immediate attention. There are more than that here on the Ripoff Report. Pantellic probably plans to file for bankruptcy-- get him for fraud if possible. Perhaps the AG will find that Pantellic knew it was going under and was still taking in money knowing it could not provide service. Good Luck The Fraud Chick
