In November 1999, my mother had her water heater replaced by Mike Fellers of Paw's Plumbing. The bad water heater was under warranty but he chose to replace it with a different brand that he said was more reliable.
After finishing the installation Mr. Fellers said that because the original water heater was still under warranty he could return it for a free replacement. While my mother was writing the check to pay him she told him to take the broken heater and doing whatever he wanted with it. She even suggested getting the replacement and giving it to someone whom could not afford a new one. Before he left Mr. Fellers told us that he would be back the next day in "a little blue truck" to pick the bad water heater up. He never showed.
We attempted to contact Paw's plumbing on numerous occasions. Our phone calls were never returned. We finally wrote a letter to the WV Attorney General's Office but he denied the accusations and has continued to ignore our attempts to contact him.
It is only a water heater and Paw's plumbing's policy "is to replace the old water heater with a new one and remove/dispose of the old one." (quote from their letter to the attorney general)
My mother is ill with cancer and has battled it for several years. I work out of state and don't have access to a truck. Paw's plumbing has not only refused to complete a job they were paid to do but also has refused to return calls of offers for additional work.
