Orkin Pest Control Took our money and ran, husband left scarred Ulster County New York
We had Orkin come to remove bee's nests from our home. They also talked us into an upgraded year round plan. They came took our money left after 10 minutes.
I called and complained but they've done nothing. They scheduled someone else to come but had to reschedule. While waiting my husband was swarmed with bees and while trying to get away smashed his face on his truck.
He has a 3 inch scar across his face, broke his glasses, and Orkin will not even refund the money for the service they never provided. They are scumbags.
All they have done is lie. They kept passing the blame between the NY and Georgia office. We tried to get them to come prior to this happening and even tried again after.
After waiting for a 1pm to 5pm time window I was offered a 5:30 to 6:30 time window which my husband, his face still in pain, refused. They first refused to refund the money even though they admitted the first guy out here did not do his job.
The man literally walked around with a spray can and said he couldn't find anything but that he'd get the big sprayer out of the truck so I would think he did something. The office said they often have this problem with the same technician. I tipped him $20 to try to get him to do his job as the bees kept us from leaving our home. He did not even come with a ladder even though I was promised all nests up to two stories would be removed.
They have not refunded the money, offered to pay medical bills caused by their failure to do what they were paid for, or even replace the glasses. We didn't have the money to hire someone else since they already have our money.
I think asking for a refund, medical bills, and all actual expenses incurred was reasonable but they refuse to comment. I told them I don't want anyone else calling me to apologize because that means nothing. I want something in writing saying they will take responsability for their mistakes. My husband is only 33 and is now permanently scarred. The ER said that the plastic surgeons rarely come in, they say to put the person back together and then they'll revise it later. We don't have the money to revise it.
If my husband wasn't swarmed by over 100 bees he wouldn't have been running around trying to get away and would not have smashed his face open.
