I have an insect control problem more specifically roaches. Its a problem I can no longer handle myself, I originally used the pest control that was recommended by a family member, since this report is not about them, I won't mention their name, they were affordable but not getting the job done, so i decided to go with Orkin, they were more expensive but if they could do the job it would've been worth it. Well when they first came out I saw an improvement in the pest problem, but that's where the problems started. They claim to have a guarantee, however, its nothing more than words. I had to pay for every visit that they came out, and, I noticed that despite him coming out the pest problem was still getting worse. I called them to voice my concerns and they claimed to care and said that this month was free and that they would keep coming out and not charge me until they got the problem under control. Well first he missed his appointment and didn't even call to cancel (nice customer service). I called and complained and they finally sent him out. He came out and did his thing and said he would come back in 1 week, well one week passed and we didn't hear from him, he hadn't even scheduled an appointment, he said our appointment was 1 week later (so thats 2 weeks) , and never mentioned a time. Well the day of the appointment came and went he didn't show up and not so much as a call to let us know he couldn't make it. I was upset and called their corporate office and they said that a supervisor was going to call me. Of course they never called, i continued to hear nothing, finally, 1 month later the actual exterminator called wanting to schedule an appointment like nothing had ever happened and of course he wanted to charge us for the next visit, I blew him off because at that point i decided to fire them. Later they actually had the nerve to call me and take their customer service survey, of course i gave them low marks across the board and told them to have a supervisor call me and of course no one called. Do not waste your money on this company! They are based on lies and poor customer service.

Contacting this Rollin company for help. I am not sure why this person put themselves out there, perhaps it is an ex-employee. They ignored my request. I wish I had read all these bad reviews about orkin before I used them. Serious poor customer service. As soon as my contract is up, I'm switching. I might not feel this way had someone bothered to return any of my calls/emails. Live & Learn. Don't use Orkin!

In my opinion, smaller companies, especially an owner operator of a pest control company will usually give you the best service at the best price.
These "little guys" usually have very little overhead as they operate from home and have no employee expense to cover. The CAN always give you the best deal when comparing identical treatments.
Furthermore, as I have witnessed, these big companies have high turnover in most cases as the operators they hire use that job as a stepping stone to get their own license, and are usually underpaid and the quality of job done shows it.
As a distributor of Pest Control Chemicals and Supplies here in Sarasota, FL. , I personally know about 90 pest control operators in this area, maybe more. I see what they buy and how much, etc..
In most cases, the big companies buy very large quantities of very cheap product and instruct employees on how "little" to use. Most of these big company employees are poorly trained, if trained at all.
Stick with the independent owner operators. Get references, and be happy.
And, by doing so, you will help feed a small business owner's family instead of a big conglomerate's executives.
