I contacted Orkin to get rid of ants in 2009. After several service calls, the ants were everywhere. In April of 2010, I called Orkin to cancel thier service.  The woman that I spoke with tried to change my mind. When I didn't, the conversation turned ugly. 

On July 20, 2010 I came home from work to a note on my door.  The note said that Orkin would be at my home for service the next day. I immediately called Orkin and told them that my account had been cancelled and no one from Orkin was permitted on my property. 

They confirmed that I had called to cancel my account in April, but it was not approved? I had to speak with someone from sales who had to call me.  I received a bill for $107.75 on July 31, 2010.  They charged my credit card without my authorization because I didn't give them 30 days notice.  My husband sent them a letter to cancel the account, but that didn't work either. 

 I suspect that they will bill me again because they refuse to cancel the service.  We never signed a contract.  I have disputed the charges with my credit card company, but who knows how that will turn out. We may have to get a warrent to keep them off our property.  I got rid of the ants myself using Terro Ant products for less than $25.00.  Great stuff.  Stay away from Orkin.  I am not alone.  I have read similar complaints.  This is nothing more than a scam.  Who knows if they ever came to our home.  We never saw them.
