I first want to point out that I responded to an offer to stay at this resort for attending a 90-minute presentation. It was not a presentation, rather an intense four-hour interrogation that ended in me purchasing a timeshare. THE ONLY reason I purchased was that the guy asked me about my hobbies and I had responded with my love of golf. He showed me on the computer where I could make last-minute reservations for myself and a few friends for a week with a total cost of $3-400.00.

Being that I love to golf and take a trip at least once a year to do so, I thought it would be a good interest to own and receive such a discounted rate. But, after I called to make this good interest work for me, I realized it was all a joke. I called, left messages, called again and never got a callback. When I did finally resorted to using RCI and made a reservation, it cost me $1200.00 to make the reservation for myself and friends. I could have paid way less than that by just making a reservation over the phone without any kind of ownership. This cost was on top of the cost of the maintenance fees, taxes and monthly mortgage fees!

I complained, but it did no good. No one ever calls back or follows up. I have since had to quit working as a pharmacist as I lost my position in a buyout and downsizing situation between Rite Aid and Walgreens that left a glut of pharmacists looking for work. I was then diagnosed with prostate cancer and have undergone extensive treatments, scans, doctor visits, etc. I am not golfing and definitely not attempting to add to my frustrations by calling numbers and leaving messages for people who will never call me back. I am contacting the company to return the ownership by whatever means necessary. I am not able to pay for it or use it and was told if I ever became unsatisfied or had health issues that I would be able to contact Holiday Inn and return it. I am exercising that right and doing so in writing as again, phone calls are never returned. Holiday Inn has not returned any response.
