Options Talent Rip-off scammers and liars: Consumers beware! Jacksonville Florida
My daughter and I were approached in the mall by a so-called "talent scout" and told by the scout: " I don't usually do this, but your daughter is gorgeous. Has she ever thought about being a model?" and thus the scam began. SHe scheduled a time for us to go to the corporate office for an interview and then handed us her card (which interestingly enough ALREADY had the "open call" appointment time that SHE SET for us written on it) She also said that her company gaurantees work in the first year with them or the next two years are free. (That is not exactly the case since they don't guarantee work.)
We attended what we thought was going to be a more personalized appointment and was herded into a room full of other "potential talents." THIS is where I began to think alot more skeptically about the company. They supposedly took 3 photos of my daughter on a diskette (WE never were showed these pictures so I seriously doubt they ever existed). Then we sat and listened to the sales pitch of all time! I have been in the sales industry and so has my husband and we both know every sales tactic in the book...They used every one of them! From the name dropping "Disney, Elite, Wilhemina, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, etc." to the high-pressure "buy into this now or you won't be called for a YEAR" pitch. As if anyone can believe that.
No one ever made any fair assessments of my daughter's potential as a model and when I discovered the scam here on this website when we got home, I asked questions during the "Second Interview" (which is the phone call you get 2 days later). The Options employee on the other end could not back anything up but just kept repeating that they must be legit because the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have them on their website as a sponsor. Interestingly that is exactly what all the other Options employees who have posted rebuttals on this site say. Perhaps the Cheerleaders have some VESTED interest in this company as well.
When I asked Options why DISNEY says they have nothing to do with Options Talent, the employee on the phone told me in response that Options "gives all its sponsors a "no hassle" policy; that they can deny any relation with the company if they want." AS IF that would be believable!! NOT! I did not fall into this scam thanks to this website and the FOX5 Atlanta,GA report also on the web!

Every single company in the whole entire world has customers swearing up and down that "they believe" its a bad company. There are people that swear up and down that Barbizon is a total scam, Barbizon is a school, completely different from an agency, but noone seems to understand that. PEOPLE HEAR AND BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT TO BELIEVE and not the actual truth. SECLECTIVE SEEING AND HEARING is what I like to call it. It is so unfortunate that because it is the entertainment industry it will always be the most talked about topic among lovers and haters alike CONSTANTLY!! I mean, who doesnt love to hear dish on the entertainment biz??? If you have worked in the modeling/acting industry for years and years and have an understanding of how the whole process works, it is those people who truly understand Options and what they have to offer. AGENCIES do not want to talk to people off of the street, if they did why do you think it would be so hard to meet and great these people??? When a consumer calls an agency to find out if they work with "Options" you are getting the receptionist/operator answering the phones, they have no idea who they work with, ONLY THE BOOKER KNOWS WHO THEY ARE USING TO SEE MODELS, and let me tell you, the booker is surely not going to talk to Joe Schmo on the street about who they work with!!! Get a clue people!! There is no way in the world Options would be able to post in its materials and on the website that they work with these agencies, they would of been sued INSTANTLY!! Have any of these people complaining about Options even done research on the website?? The model testimonials are awesome! Even if only one model got one job on the site that would be reason enough for me to become a member, BECAUSE YOU JUST NEVER KNOW IF THAT PERSON COULD BE YOU!!! All Options does is market their talent to clients and agencies all over the world, hmmmmmm......which would be cheaper??? Spending money to send your pictures to 1,000 agencies and clients and then of course having half of them if not more throw your pictures in the trash can cause they just happen to be looking for a blonde that week and not the brunette or red head that you are??? Or would it be better to spend $595.00 ( a cost that you never pay again for the rest of your life) in order to have your picture up there 24/7 for when they are looking for that brunette or red head, cause you would STILL BE THERE!!!!! It is all about exposure!!!! A CHANCE!!!!! That is what NOONE realizes. Everything is going digital this day and age, everything is going internet......pretty soon Options is going to take over the industry and you will all be sad that you missed out and did not get in sooner!!
