Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased a Trio Mach Speed MP3 player from eCost.com a short time ago. When I went to fill out the rebate I was directed to use OnRebate.com. I filled out all of the online forms that I was directed to and then printed out the appopriate rebate form.

I compiled all of the documentation required and laid out on the rebate form, made personal copies, and sent the originals to OnRebate.com.

A few weeks later I get an email stating that my rebate is denied because I failed to send them the invoice/packing slip, but that I had instead sent them a credit card receipt. First of all I have the copy of what I sent them right in front of me, and it says Invoice/Packing slip in the upper right hand corner of the page. Secondly, I would never send a credit card receipt to a rebate shop, that would just be stupid.

I have gone back and forth with this fraudulent company, and they just keep telling me I need to send them what I have already sent them. This rebate is only for $15, but this company needs to be exposed for their poor business practices. They give you the run around hoping that you will give up so they can pocket your money.

Expected REBUTTAL Response

I completely expected this REBUTTAL response. Why? Because OnRebate.com is paying somebody to monitor Rip-Off Report and respond to each report with the same canned response. What it doesn't seem they are paying these people to do is actually read the report. If they had actually read my report, they would have noticed that if I were to resubmit my information to get my rebate, I would be sending them the exact content I sent the first time, which they denied as being valid. Thus perpetuating the cyclical scam they are running.
