Complaint Review: Omics Online - Hyderabad Hyderabad

The scam that the predatory publishers known as Omics Online run is elaborate and complete. I am a victim of the rip-off scheme established by these fraud predatory publishers on the internet. I am writing this negative review and complaint so that people will come to know that Omics Online is scamming people. The con publishers run an extremely tight and professional-looking operation to make sure that no one suspects a rip-off until the very end.

I am an author and I write books for kids on the internet. My books are published for both Amazon Kindle as well as in the paperback versions. I have never received a negative review for my books in my life. However, the predatory publishers at Omics Online completely ruined my focus with the scam.

The story of how these con publishers looted me began in March 2018 when I finished my 7th book for kids. I was searching for reliable book publishers since my contract with the old publishing house had just expired. This is when I came across the fraudsters at Omics Online on the internet. I did the background research on Omics Online to look for complaints and negative reviews so that I could approach them freely. I never thought this would turn out to be a scam at the end of the day.

 

The predatory publishers had extremely well curated and professional online reviews. I searched hard for a negative review or a complaint but came out empty-handed. I was convinced that Omics Online was genuinely good. So I finally approached them to establish a new contract with them that month.

 

Unfortunately, the professionals at Omics Online did not speak like a group of rip-off and fraudsters. Instead, the professionalism suggested that the predatory publishers truly cared about their partners.

 

After I approached them, Omics Online sent me a legal document to establish a partnership. Now, I am no lawyer so I had no clue that the legal document was completely fake. If I had detected that earlier, I would have posted a negative review against the con publishers immediately. I would have tried my best to expose the scam earlier. However, the predatory publishers managed to keep me in the loop for 4 months before showing their true colours.

 

After I sent the scanned copy of the agreement back to Omics Online I got a confirmation email that said that they will review the agreement and finalize the royalty quickly. I did not hear back from Omics Online for over a month. This was the first time I suspected an elaborate rip-off scheme by Omics Online. However, I thought that the predatory publishers were just being thorough.

 

One month into the deal, Omics Online reached out to me with a complaint. They said that my signature was inconsistent and that I had to resign the agreement. I agreed to the terms but was spellbound by the fact that it took them over a month to detect this inconsistency. Nonetheless, I sent them the agreement again. A week later, Omics Online asked for a soft copy of my book for review. I sent them the PDF version of my draft for review.

 

I did not hear back from Omics Online for another month. I tried reaching them on phone as well as email. I thought I had just wasted a lot of time and I should find another publishing house. Just as I was about to write this negative review against the con publishers I received an email that said that my book was ready for publishing. The team at Omics Online apologized for the late reply and said that they were proof-reading the book thoroughly as well as adding images to it.

 

I was finally happy that this was not a scam or a rip-off scheme. I was convinced that the book will be finally published in time. However, a small time after that I got another email from Omics Online which said that I needed to pay them 500 dollars for their services. Omics Online said that this was a standard fee that they charge for proof-reading and adding images. They said that they had done a lot of research to come up with the most appealing images for the children.

 

I was happy to pay Omics Online 500 dollars if it meant that my book was enhanced with high-quality images. So, I paid the amount immediately without a second thought. Now, I had invested both my precious time as well as money to  deal with the predatory publishers at Omics Online.

 

As you might have already suspected, I never received the book or a response back from Omics Online. Therefore, I am posting this negative review today. I hope that this negative review will prevent you from investing your precious time and money into a deal with them.
