Olympia Law Scammed me out of fake retainer fees and did not provide service as described. My home is now up for sale in 2 days. Thanks Olympia Law! California
I paid a retainer before getting our agreement in writing. He assured me he would send it. Around the time my refinance should have been completed I got a call seeking another retainer fee to proceed. I was initially told any further costs would be attached to the settlement. But didn't have a copy in writing. Got a call a week later, said loan was complete and I was already late. I responded that the new loan was dated 2 weeks BEFORE he had called to charge the 2nd fee. Meaning they had full knowledge it was complete at the time they called trying to get more money.
They never disputed those facts. In fact, never responded again. Now I'm a year behind on payments, they had told me not to communicate with my Mortgage company. Just found out my house is in local classifieds to be auctioned off in 2 days. The whole reason I went with them was they informed me I had a bad mortgage. Owner is MERS, but mortgage company is Carrington. Also MERS is a box, no employees, no owner. A box can't own something, like a title. But I'll b d**n, they seem to be forcloseing just fine here. SCAM. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
