Complaint Review: Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC - Carol Stream Illinois

We suffered a house fire 11/03/2009. Reort filed with Saxton mortgage and check issued by insurance. All contracts signed that we were to act as contractors. Little did we know our loan was sold out to ocwen 2 weeks after the fire. Check and all signed contracts for repairs were forwarded to ocwen per their request. Didnt hear anything for a month. Called them and they stated we needed to re-do all contracts provided by THEM. Done so and sent them back. I mailed and faxed them the printouts from LOWES Co. who were going to build my new kitchen. Still received no money and no reply. 2 months go by and i call them again. They refuse to release the funds unless I hire a contractor. (Lowes co. are contractors by the way). I find a contractor per their request. The funds are still not released until May of 2010. Only part of the funds were sent to us. This only occured with many phone calls on my part, asking what the hold up was. They always claimed we needed to fill out MORE paperwork. For 5 months, I filled out forms and faxed to these people. They always swore they never received them....Even though i have the fax confirmations proving they did.

So now we have been 7 months n a burnt house with no kitchen and mold growing in the floors from staying damp so long. We are forced to leave our home while the contractor removed the mold. My children had to spend their whole summer vacation in a hotel for 2 months. Well, the contractor that Ocwen INSISTED I have (much to my disagreement) ripped off our insurance money and left after 4 days. Still no kitchen and now no money. Well now I have to pay out of pocket to hire an attorney for this mess. In the mean time, Ocwen is stating I owe them 14000.00. For what, we have no clue. They refuse and send back my monthly payments. Stating they will not accept partial payments. Its pay the whole $14,000.00 or they foreclose. These people had my loan for 5 months only, and state I owe them all this money. What the Hell???

Long story short (cause there is much more..believe me). Its almost a year since the fire. I still have no kitchen. They wanna foreclose on my home, and they are still sitting on about $9000.00 of our insurance money to repair our home. They want me to repair it at my cost. Don't understand this either. They will let me keep my home if I refinance it at about $90,000. But I only owe $68,000.00 on it. This has been 11 months of hell with this company. We suffer a house fire and end up getting screwed in ways i could never imagine. PLEASE HELP. I cant let these people take my childrens' home. And it don't help talking to them on the phone. No one seems to know whats going on. Even funnier, we got a call from someone at Ocwen last week asking how the repairs are going! They had no idea what the heck was going on. Does anyone at ocwen communicate with each other? I'm telling you they are crazy. You cant imagine some of the replys we have gotten from these idiots on the phone inquiring about our insurance money. Almost a year now. Ridiculous aint it? Could anyone live in a home with NO kitchen? we've been forced to do it now for a year.
