Ocwen Federal Bank - a lender employing predatory tactics - beware!
Ocwen Federal Bank (mis)handles my mortgage. Contrary to my requests, Ocwen pays my quarterly taxes, resulting in increased monthly payments ($600 more as of this month) to the point at which I cannot afford them.
I fully expect them to drive me into default as a result, then foreclose on the house and make some decent bucks on the resale. They refuse to listen to the customer, use stonewalling tactics, have zero interdepartmental communication, and God help the one whose mortgage account is assumed by them. Evidently, there are many people around the country who are in similar situations with Ocwen. They reportedly have a 39% foreclosure rate. These people are in the real estate business, not the mortgage business. The mortgage thing is just to supply the real estate thing.
Beware this lender.

I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone when it comes to fighting with this company. After refinancing my Wells Fargo Home Mortgage I was placed with this "lender". I had to call them to get my first payment coupon and was treated like I was a bother to them. I only stayed with them a few months and am now back with Wells Fargo. Oh, by the way, I am still waiting for my "escrow refund" that they refuse to send to me ($700+ dollars). Thanks!

You will be given the run around, you will be lied to, if it profits them by the amount of equity in your home. They won't show up to meetings, ignore summons, ...only do their best to avoid you and any lawyers, friends, contractors, etc. I called that number many times thru the years. A waste of time. Write and we'll file a class action suit: [email protected]
