On Oct 8, 03; I talked with KNOLOGY representatives and they said they had only been billed by OAN Services and would not pay these unscrupulous long distances charges ($214.09) and that I would not pay them either. I WILL take KNOLOGY out of my complaint but WILL leave OAN Services in my complaint as a warning for other unknowing victims to see. Thank You,
Scott

John, OAN (Operator Assistance Network) is JUST a billing Company for thousands of Telecommunications company. Did you know anyone who called you collect from a Jail or Institution? You are mistaken to believe your Long Distance company or your Local Phone company have taken care of these charges. They have agreements with your Local Provider to collect for these "services", and your home phone will be turned off, and your credit damaged if you do not pay. On your Phone bill is an 800 # for OAN, try calling them and ask for an adjustment at the A. T. & T. rate, this used to work ONE TIME ONLY. Just so you know, OAN was owned by EDS, a General Motors Company!
