I was reading through some of the complaints.. A man had sumitted

some VERY useful information.. To call the 1800 205 9198 # and at the yes or no question say "REPRESENTATIVE" ...This works!!!

The operator there confirms cancellation and full refund...

Within 7 to 10 working days... I sure hope they don't pack up and leave town before this time.. Good luck everyone.. what a way to start off the new year...YAHOOOOOOOOOOO

I have some very interesting information I would like to pass on to others in this same situation....

I like many others was under the assumption that I was going to recieve a 1 year free subscription to a couple of magazines..
( some were offered 3 months,6 months,) In my case, I have never recieved the first magazine as of today.

But, lets just assume I have okay, This would have been roughly six months ago(can't exactly remember now) but, at any rate, this company took it upon themselves to just assume that I was going to want to pay for the "RENEWAL" in 6 more months,so charged me accordingly...

Now, this is where it gets interesting, I called about 6 or 7 different #'s till I finally got some advise on HERE as to getting a "warm body". I spoke with a man By the name of DAVID on extension 546 with NSS.. In the mist of tearing into him over the phone ( poor guy) I demanded to know how in the hell this company ever got my Credit card # in the first place???
( I have never issued any #'s) for the most part how did they get my address with all my informations..(?)

well people, this guy went on to tell me how MY credit card company ( PROVIDIAN VISA) and HIS company ( NSS) were in kahoots.. he was unclear as to whether Providian either sold or traded information with them(?)But, that PROVIDIAN VISA ( as I assume other credit card companys are doing--CAPITAL ONE) was giving NSS peoples names and address's and emails ect.. Once you except this free offer..

NSS then goes back to the ORIGINATOR and gets AUTHORIZED for payment. ( waaaay ahead of schedule) now, this is where I believe Providian gets there cut... In my case I was charged $74.00 and this took me over my balance..

So, now I'm being charge a nice hefty $ 29.00 OVERPAYMENT FEE ( are you following) The "warm bodied" DAVID on ext 546 was clear about this.. on how they were getting our information , through my credit card company.. ( man, I thought Visa was reputable) anyhoo, I called Providian Visa and spoke to the FRAUD Department..

There a woman answered and I demanded that my old account be destroyed immediately!! I told her that I had had a very interesting conversation with a Telemarketer for NSS as to how they were getting our information and how VISA was PRE AUTHORIZING payments on accounts through THEM. Well, at first she said YES... WE KNOW THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD, and at this point I wanted to reach through the phone and strangle this being!!!

I asked her THEN WHY DO YOU ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?? I explained to her that this was a very big fraud issue that could wind up a very messy lawsuit against VISA.. ( who I have always trusted)
These fraudulent Authorized payments ( THEFT) are hurting alot of people.. my credit card is based on cold hard cash that I submit to VISA not CREDIT.. a debit card. Thats why VISA ALLOWS IT.. VISA'S NOT GONNA STEAL FROM THEMSELVES...

Anyway, at that point she started getting confused as to what to say to me at this time.. because I told her I was going to REPORT VISA not NSS..Because I believe all of this mess is due soley to credit card companys that are giving our personal information away out there to these ( quote 'CROOKS' unquote)
NSS is to blame also, they are not allowing the agreed time to pass before the renewal time.. and as far as I can tell know one is ever recieving the " AGREED " renewal slip.

So there ya have it folks.. its your credit card issuer who is supplying this information and allowing the authorized payments.
I plan on reporting this monday morning ..To who? I am not exactly sure as of right now..I figure I'll start at the top
with VISA and work my way down.. I know this PROVIDIAN company is based out of California.

I'll keep posting updates.. I feel like this may turn into a messy situation, but theres so many of us out here that have been robbed that somethings gotta be done about.
