I started receiving a couple of magazines in the mail recently and I vaguely remember some contest where I was told I can get two free subscriptions. Of course it was so long alo that I forgot until the magazines began arriving. Just recently I have noticed charges on my credit card which is linked to my checking account.

The first charge was for $47.00 and I called my bank and obtained the telephone number of the company, which happened to be NSS Magazine Service Center. The number I was given was an Automated number and you have to go through a series of prompts to dispute whichever magazine it is. I did this and was given a confirmation number and informed that the amount would be credited within 2-3 business cycles.

What the heck does that mean? I had to call back again a week later and do the same thing. Today, I noticed ANOTHER charge on my account from the same company. I have now passed the point of being pissed off because I have not authorized any of these charges and yet they are still being deducted.

I have called my bank but I have to wait 30 days (to give NSS the opportunity to resolve this) before they can take action. I need a telephone number where I can talk to a HUMAN BEING so that I can get some answers!
