TRADES OLD PARTS FOR YOUR NEW ONES - I was towed for safety reasons, commercial rig. I had one bad tire and I needed a brake adjustment, as per the CHP inspection just as tow co. took the truck to the yard. When I got it out, 27 days and 2,200.00 later, the brakes were worn to nothing all the way around. All four sides were bare and the mark from the original brake pad was still imprinted on the drum, still wet from the lubricant from my original pads. The ones which it was returned with are worn past the avg level of a worn brake pad for a diesel commercial vehicle as large as mine.

LIENS ALL IMPOUNDS AND THEN TREATS YOU LIKE A CRIMINAL -

They filed a lien on the 29th day, and I had picked up my truck on the 27th day. My intuition was right! They said a commercial vehicle does not get liened until 60 days from the date of tow. They billed me the 100 for the commercial level lien. The 70 lien fee for standard auto liens goes into effect on the 30th day after tow. You see, they billed me the commercial fee, but turned on the heat by filing after 30 days, the standard auto level. I did loose much sleep over worrying about my truck. Oh, this is just another lovely example. $80 billed for the Saturday 2:00PM gate fee, even though I hired them at the same time I paid for the tow, to tow my truck out to private property not more than 8 miles away. They charged me to open their gate....and they were opening it anyway! (Did I mention it was opened the whole time I was there with about 12 kids no more than 21 years of age, no less than 16- all looking at a chopped up sports care sitting in the garage.

(I wonder if they had to pay a gate fee too?!)

CALLED ME STUPID CAUSE I HAVE A SPANISH ACCENT- The Mechanic left me a message on my machine. It said, and I quote, "maybe if you spoke English a little better, you would understand me." and "Don't ever call here again!!"

RACISTS

I thought that they seemed irritated with me from the start...and I was not too sure why. I did think that they might not like to deal with clients because it is not easy, especially at those rates. It was not long before the racist remarks and racial views were too much for them to keep inside anymore. They spewed it out...and they spewed it on me.

(By the way, I teach Spanish, Egyptian and Latin at a nearby University two nights a week. I learned the later two languages through English based books and classes.) This place and the entire experience was just as worse as it gets.

I AM DOING WHAT I CAN TO SEE THAT OTHERS WILL START POSTING THEIR PERSONAL STORIES AND NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THE TOW YARD OR STAFF JUST BECAUSE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT USES THEM TO TOW YOUR BECAUSE OF A LEGAL ISSUE OH, and if the tow slip is not filled out by the cop, then the cop is not making the tow take your car, the tow is just taking your car, period.
