Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The first indication that something was wrong when they misrepresented themselves and said they were North American Van Lines.  Quoted $1500.00  At pick up they told me I went over my cubic feet and I owed them $1500.00 more.  I gave a personal check ay pick up.

I kept calling the moving company and asked when I was going to be delivered.  I received no answer just yelling and eventually they hung up the phone.

After a week I finally received my items but only after I payed them @2692.00 in a postal money order or cash.  They took the money even before my items were unloaded from the truck.  Essentially I had to pay for services before they were rendered.  The man who delivered me was rude, unprofessional and just plain nasty.

Please do your homwork before hiring a moving company and stay away from North America Prime, Inc.

Moving scam

There are some red flags in your post. I know it is too late for you now, but maybe this will help others or help you the next time you move.

NEVER hire a "mover" online that doesn't come to your home. The moving company needs to come to your home to give you a written estimate based on your actual furniture and boxes being moved.  A legitimate moving company can estimate the number of boxes when they look at your current residence.

NEVER hire a mover that discusses the cost of the move based on cubic feet. This is a common long-running scam and it usually indicates that the "mover" is actually a moving broker and not the mover that will move your stuff.

RESEARCH on how to find a reputable mover. Use an independent website and not just the website of one individual mover.

CHECK to make sure the mover you are talking to and getting an estimate from is the actual mover and not someone that is using their name. (Yes, this happens). There is a list of blacklisted moving companies and moving brokers that you can check on MovingScam(dot)com.

if the price is too low, rest assured you are being set up for a hostage type scam where the moving company won't release your goods until you pay exponentially more for your stuff to be delivered. I mean they are setting you up for additional thousands, not hundreds. Even if you have signed a contract. This is one of the big scams these moving brokers pull on unsuspecting customers all over the country.
