I have worked for Target for just over 2 weeks. I have to say I like the job itself. I love to help customers and I a great sales person. The peoblem is that being a new team mamber I find myself not getting much help from there so called Team Leaders! I have been meet with rude and degrading managers on the phone while trying to get my hours. In fact today I tryed to get my hours and view my time card on their team member service page. It was not working so rather then call the store and be treated like crap I called the target support line to see if the page was down or was it my computer. Well the outcome was I was going to have to call the store. GREAT. Fine I call the store and I get someone in guest service who says there is only one manager on dutie and I'd have to call bacl later. I explain to him that I can not wait and I'm so sorry but I have to take my Mom for chemo in the city and need to know what time I work to make her apt. I cant wait the apt. are limited. So he says oh wait he's done he can help you I'l transfer you now. So I hear some phone fumbling and then the dial tone. OK fine I'l call back. WWEELL I have being trying to get a hold of the store now for 45 mins. I tryed guest service I tryed the pharm. I tryed eletronics Nada No answer anywhere. I would not posted this but it's just sad. Some of The Leaders that target has leading their employees need to be re trained or just flat out let go. Another case. So i start my shift and there are carts all over my department filled with god only knows what. I know my job but I do not know how to hadle the carts that SLACKERS just toos stuff in. I had no idea if it was stuff to go back or over stock so instead of wasting time and being tired of dealing with it I went and asked a manager for help now mind you the manager of the dept I work in was sitting there with the other 2 managers and not once did he even turn around and look at me let alone help me. Maybe that's because he never took the time to introduce himself to me hahaha. Jerk. I explain my issue with the carts and the female manager says she will come help me figure it out. I say thanks so much. Well 2 hours later she waltzs back to my department to ask if I figured it out. I bit my tounge and replyed ya know what nevermind I'l just leave it the it was left for me. Maybe someone with more experience can figure it out. Now I am busy with guests. thanks anyway for your help... What really pisses me off his the manager of my dept. never came to check it out or even offer me training to handle the mess on my own. Come to find out from a teen employee that you can check if something is restock or to go out with a PDA. Would have been nice if someone had told me that. Then there is the backroom issue. You can call the backroom on a walkie to check stock for people, so I was trying to help this man bye a 48in. HDTV but there wasnt any out. My PDA showed 5 on hand so I tryed to get ahold of the backrrom to have one brought out. Over and over I called out to them the location number and on hand count with no reply. Looking like an a*****e in front of this guest. sweating because its friggin 90 degrees in that joint. At this point the guy and his wife are talking about going to Best Buy. I never got a reply from the backroom. the couple left without the TV and 15 min. later a manager comes to me says "you have to use channel 2 to talk to the backroom." Well thats great lameass think you could have said that on your walkie you were listening to me on? I mean really are you kidding me? I didnt say this but I should have. because of lack of LEADERSHIP Target lost a 1399.00 sale. LOL I have no plans on keeping this job past the holidays because the leadership at this Target store is a failing system. It's like the blind leading the blind and stupid people piss me off. New employee are treated like crap by most of the managers and why someone needs to give me a hard time when I am trying to find out when I have to work to help their sorry asses is beyond me.. Wish me luck and beware is your thiunking about working at Target
