We had signed with Neumann homes in 03/03, we just moved in 11/04. Yes! You read that correctly. My advice is to check your home as often as possible once the ground is dug. Put everything in writing, everything!! If anything is verbal, follow up with a note. By the time we signed on our home, we had 5 front porches, 2 staircases, 2 fireplace mantels, bad thresholds on carpet, wrong colors in the bathroom, hole in the master closet (during construction). Siding falling off on all sides of the house. kitchen cabinets are awful. I could go on. Our 45 day walk through, they cut into our ceiling because of bad plumbing. We have cold air coming in from our electrical outlets, which we were told today, that there is nothing they can do. It goes on and on. Customer service is awful. We had one employee, who actually made a difference, which we still rely on. That is it, out of the whole company. During this I was pregnant, and we were newlyweds. Everytime we would go to the house, the stress was so great. It was crazy. We had to realize we chose the wrong builder, which we still feel.
