I bought a netTALK TK6000 with "Lifetime" service in 2010. In 2017 they cancelled the service (which was still working until that day) saying it was only for the "lifetime of the unit" (which still worked fine). I contacted customer service but they refused to reactivate my service. Very disappointed at their false advertising.

LIFETIME PLAN TK6000
The lifetime works as long as the device is working. If the device breaks then the plan will also be lost. The lifetime plan only qualifies for TK6000.
If your Tk6000 breaks you may upgrade to a DUO which will give you access to the new DUO features, however the plan would be changed to an annual Basic Plan. "

NetTalk has re-activated lifetime TK6000 accounts at some point since the initial discovery.
