After comparing several quotes, we finally chose National Moving Network to move our furniture and car because it promised to move earlier and at lower cost. But as it turned out, we have paid a much higher price and the delivery of car is never realized. Besides, after we paid deposit, NMN suddenly became extremely unavailable for any questions.

1.We mainly dealt with Nancy Andrade, the Customer Service person. She never informed us that two different companies would ship our furniture and car separately. We only knew it after the furniture shipping company finished loading the furniture. We called Nancy but only were told we needed to contact the auto shipping division within NMN and schedule the shipment by ourselves. At that time, 4 days had passed since we signed the contract. We called the auto division and it took us one hour to get through, only to find out that my name was not registered. Nancy forgot to book car moving services for us. By that time, National office was closing and I had to take the flight from Austin, TX to Denver, CO early next morning.

2.We were forced to deal with our car after we flied to Colorado. When we called Nancy, she just coldly asked us to wait for her call, which has never come during our entire experience with NMN. We kept waiting for hours. The next day we reached Nancy and were told that no auto moving company is available to ship our car and we had to find one by ourselves. At this time, we are already 1,200 miles away from where my car is. We had to spend a whole day finding another company and had to incur additional expenses on car rental (not to mention all the long distance calls I made). Finally we found a company. They charged $344 more than the price quoted by National due to emergency. Should Nancy not forget to book the car shipment service, or should she let us know we have to book the shipment by ourselves, how can this happen?

3.NMN has provided very bad services, if you can call it service. My husband and I have made hundreds of calls to Nancy. 95% of the time we only heard voice message. Whatever message we left, Nancy never returns calls. She is not only unhelpful, but treats us very badly. We wonder if NMN provides any service at all besides charging the $500 deposit fee.

4.When I signed the contract with Monica, the sales person for National, I was promised the price would be fixed as long as the total weight was below 2,000 pounds. I paid $500 deposit with my credit card, and the balance of $1,030 is due upon delivery. These amounts are written clearly in the contract. However, when my furniture is delivered, I was asked to pay an additional $200 for packaging. This charge is not included anywhere in the contract. I called the furniture shipping company and National. The furniture shipping company threatened to take furniture back if I don't pay the money, and National warned me to pay whatever the shipping company asked for.

We filed complaint through BBB. Can you imagine that the person from NMN who answered our complaint is exactly the one we complained about? We tried all means but could never reach any service manager. We wonder if any service quality control exists within this company.

It's a nightmare to deal with NMN. We are posting this, hoping others won't have to experience the same pain and emotional suffering any more.
