NMB Media, Mobile Billboard Company, Review / Complaint.  BEWARE of this billboard truck company based out of Florida also known as National Mobile Billboards. Please read our experience with Frank Yon and his recently renamed company NMB Media / National Mobile Billboards LLC before you do business with them. We are a local mobile billboard company that had the displeasure of doing business with NMB Media. We hope this situation happens to no one else.

Our digital billboard company was initially contacted by the owner of NMB Media, Frank Yon, a seemingly nice individual when we first spoke. He claimed to have a large fleet of vehicles and needed 1 more to complete a job a for client in Pennsylvania.  After informing him of the distance we’d have to travel, Frank calculated an agreeable service time to be included as part of our contracted service hours.  He stated most other Mobile Billboard companies have problems and likes what he sees with our company. Mr. Frank Yon insisted on moving straight to contract with our negotiated service terms.  Mr. Frank Yon, even crossed out the section of our agreement stating our stated travel terms as they did not apply due to our negotiated agreement.

The day before the mobile billboard campaign started, during routine conversation between our two companies, Frank Yon demanded the scope of our service change. In a call, the real Frank Yon emerged, cursing, screaming and complaining about his client and how he made promises he had to fulfill to his client for him to get paid.  None of which were in our agreement or even mentioned when negotiating our signed contract.  I stated to him I will be glad to work with him in an effort to keep National Mobile Billboards from not fulfilling on the promises Frank made to his client.

We offered to send the vehicle out a day early, essentially shifting the scheduled service time to begin and end a day early.  This would give Frank Yon time to workout out a solution that would best serve his client.  We offered to extend the advertising campaign by another day to compensate for the change of contracted service at a prorated rate if he didn’t have a vehicle available.  Indecisive at the moment, he sent an email assuring us that we would work out the details when he came back from his vacation in a few days.

When Mr. Frank Yon came back from his vacation, he did everything to avoid discussing the remaining how to handle the last day of service despite the numerous calls and emails sent in regards to this matter.  We spoke with National Mobile Billboards / NMB Media team almost everyday, sending them pictures and giving them updates and receiving new client media that they requested to have.

As our dealings with the Mr. Frank Yon, the owner of NMB Media / National Mobile Billboards made us become skeptical about the company we were dealing with, we started searching National Mobile Billboards / NMB Media online to see if this company was a problematic company.  And it was.  On the surface, everything looks great.  Look past all the advertising memberships and affiliations with reputable advertising organizations and you will find complaints that claim discrimination, failure to make payments, mistreatment in the work place, etc.  A lot seems to be swept under the rug somewhat. These complaints also date back a bit.  (I have attached several links below)  When discussing with other Mobile Billboard companies, many will not due business with NMB media / National Mobile Billboards.  Our company will certainly be the latest company to be added on that list.

Mr. Frank Yon, has made multiple promises and commitments to his client and did not share the client’s request with our company during the negotiation and contract stages.  His ridiculous demands made after the agreement made were either a foreshadowing to his intent not to pay or a failure to deliver on promises he made to his client.  Mr. Frank Yon paid only 50% of the contracted total.  He has yet to pay the remaining balance.  Over the last couple of months our company and our company's attorney received promises of payments that were never fulfilled and a number of excuses leading up to the payment including blaming his client; client was afraid of getting ripped off; etc.  Our company has stayed in daily contact with his team giving them daily updates, answering questions, communicated and coordinated media changes, weather obstacles and so on.  We also granted the NMB Media team access to our vehicle's real time tracking system and sent them over 150 pictures of the advertisements on the vehicle to share with their client.  Additionally GPS reports were sent and media reports were sent initially and then declined by Mr. Frank Yon as stated that his client does not need them.

Since the conclusion of the Pennsylvania advertising campaign, Frank Yon has made a request that we resend the very same documents that we have sent to him over and over again in order for our company to receive payment from him.  We did as requested and still there was no payment and no ability to contact Frank Yon.  After a short time, my attorney contacted Mr Frank Yon and after running a rant on our attorney he made a promise that a check would be in the mail by Friday of the same week.  To this day, almost a month later, we still have not received payment for services rendered.   Invoices sent too and viewed by Frank Yon remain ignored and unpaid.  All attempts to contact Mr. Frank Yon have failed.

Our company is currently in process of exploring all legal options necessary with complaints being made from local to federal levels.  Our company is a newer company, being in business for only 6 years and we have never had an experience like this.

If you are a client or agency, please make sure this company is carrying out your requests in writing.  If possible, get the names of the subcontractors or companies they will be using and make sure that they are aware of your requests and service needs.  Even contract the "to be hired" companies directly and ensure your getting the right service at the right price.

If you are a vendor, please make sure you bring up every possible scenario that could go wrong and have it covered when dealing with this company.  Make sure you are paid in full before the start of the campaign.

Thank you to all who have read this review / complaint about NMB Media / National Mobile Billboards.  Good Luck.
