My husband and I have been trying to get our credit straightened sue to fraud. We had to go through all legal channels all the way to credit bureau to get things fixed. We have gotten most of it fixed but we had to give our real phone number to them so that we could have a credit watch put on it to ensure our files would be safely put away and only used when given our permission. Well this national asset got our number and has been calling constantly for the past 4 or 5 weeks. Non stop day and night. They won't take our word for it about our credit was missed up by fraud they want their money no matter the problems it causes here. Any suggestions?

Dealing with nusiance phone calls!

Anytime you have someone pestering you on the phone, there is one sure way to stop it!

Don't talk to them!

When you sit there and listen on the phone, you give them hope. They think you might get scared and send in money.

I always say hello. As soon as I see it's the same caller again, I just set the phone down. Don't hang up! They'll just call back. You say one word: hello. Then, set the phone down on the table and walk away.

After 10 or 20 times, they will see they are getting nowhere and stop. Unplug your phone at night.

Anytime people send you nasty letters in the mail, you send them a fish in return. A dead goldfish, or a sardine. Four days later, they get that stinky thing in the mail. They catch on pretty quick.

People will only hassle you if you let them. So, don't let them.
