NARS uses the practice of at-will employment. This means: At-will employment is a doctrine of American law that defines an employment relationship in which either party can terminate the relationship with no liability if there was no express contract for a definite term governing the employment relationship. Under this legal doctrine: any hiring is presumed to be "at will"; that is, the employer is free to discharge individuals "for good cause, or bad cause, or no cause at all," and the employee is equally free to quit, strike, or otherwise cease work. If you are employed at will, your employer does not need good cause to fire you. In every state but Montana (which protects employees who have completed an initial "probationary period" from being fired without cause), employers are free to adopt at-will employment policies, and many of them have.

Even if what they are doing is wrong, it doesn't MATTER!!! Any legal action that you try to start against this company will be dropped because they are going to pull they form that they had you sign out of your file. You signed it. We all did. Although at the time we signed it, we didn't think that we would get fired for "no reason," but in the event that you do, they have covered their butts with that form. Again, I am sorry that this has happened to you. But if you try to take it to court they will more than likely bring up that form that was signed that stated that they can terminate you at any time and they do not have to give you a reason why they did it. Sad but true.

Regardless of what this other employee says what they did is wrong. Their notorious for these kinds of actions. I'm sure they didn't give you a living wage. Even though they probably were making hand over fist with you working for them. I know they use to make $5,000 per head for an outsource collector. And you were probably lucky to be making $8.50 per hr. Barely any living wages. I worked in their St. Louis office. Talk about crooked! They are all the way. If I have my way they'll be shut down soon enough here in St. Louis and Cape. The employment office overlooks their tactics. But I'm sure some banking authorities need to be going thru their books. Maybe more like The FBI should. Even though I was one of their most successful employees n ST. Louis it didn't matter. They will lie cheat and steal from anyone. And the president Chris Buehrle pays his people to do this. Belittle the employee so they'll belittle everyone else. I pray for anyone that has to work for them! Your better off not there. Best of luck! Kathy

I do understand how this can upset you, but when you are hired, the first day in training, NARS does make you sign a paper that says that they can fire you at any time, and they don't have to give you a reason. It also states that you can quit at any time without giving them a reason. So, although I do feel bad that this has happened, since that paper did get signed, there is really nothing you can do about it.
