PAID $80 FOR SHOES AND THEY BROKE WITHIN FIRST HOUR!!! @ Nancy's Bridal and Formal Boutique, Utica MI
I bought those lovely wedding shoes at Nancy's Bridal and formal Boutique in Utica, MI. They cost 80 dolars but I thought that the my wedding day is special so why not. The shoes broke right at the wedding ceremony.
It was unbelievable!! I went back there and wanted either new pair of shoes or my money back. But I was told there was not any return policy.
How can it work like this? They ruined my wedding day and continue doing the same bad business with other customers now. Do I have any rights here?

You should file a complaint with the state. I had to file a complaint with the state for a different vendor and I found out that legally, a business establishment must post a "No return" policy sign somewhere where the customers can see, otherwise, they have to refund your money or exchange the item. I ordered 8 bridesmaid dresses from Nancy's; they were priced at $180.00 and each girl paid for her own and signed an individual agreement with Nancy's. 6 of the girls wanted Nancy's to do the alterations at the store while the other 2 (they are sisters) were going to have thier mom do the alterations as she was a professional seamstress. I went with the girls to order the dresses and she charged them an additional $14 for alterations. We shook our heads no and I politely told the owner at Nancy's that thier mom was a seamstress, so there was no need to charge them extra. The owner said no, the whole bridal party was signed under one contact, it was one price for all the dresses and if she charged them different, it would be hard for her to keep track of her books; i said no, each girl had thier own contract and i was an unhappy bride if she was going to do this to me and my girls, i just ordered 6 dresses the week before, our shoes and my dress was $2500 so the least she could do was give these 2 girls a break. With both of them being in college, on thier own, I knew that them being in my wedding alone was going to make thier pocketbooks shrink, but the owner refused and nonchalantly told me that she didn't care and to take my business elsewhere. Sinc eI already order 6 of the dresses that were very hard to find in Michigan, I took a deep breath and paid the extra $14 myself and after that, the owner of Nancy's was very rude to me anytime I went in there and she was sarcastic. She belongs to the BBB too, I'd contact them and file a report.
