I took my 1987 Nissan Pathfinder to this guy at Mulholland Auto repair to work on my truck because it started running really rough. The guy had my truck all day and called when it was done. I did not drive my truck until the next day, my husband had taken it to the guy and picked it up, so anyways when I did drive my truck to work the next day I noticed that it was still not running normal and told my husband that we needed to take it back to this man and he needed to look at it again.

We dropped off my truck that day and when he called us later that afternoon we went to the shop and he proceeded to tell us that he had put it on some kind of diagnosis machine and that I had a shot piston and that I needed at the minimum $1500.00 worth of work done on it and he would gladly do it for us. Well we of course did not have this much money so we just took the truck home and I drove it for a couple of months, still running roughly when I decided to take it to another shop and get a second opionin.

Well all that was wrong with my truck was a bad spark plug wire, a five dollar part! I paid the guy at Mulholland Auto $130.00 the first day and another $30.00 the second day to be told a lie. To top it off we didn't have the cash the days we took it to the guy so we had to put it on a credit card so now it is costing me double!

The truth is the owners of Mulholland Auto were NOT aware of the situation until this article came out and we informed them about it. If the customer had contacted the repair shop they would have cleared up the situation the same way they did when we told them of this report. Why is it you are so willing to slander a business but not willing to give credti where credit is certainly due. I know nothing of Mulholland Auto except that i work at a business next door to them and informed them out of professional curtesy. They were very concerned and wanted to make things right with the customer which they did immediately. EDITORS NOTE:::::::: This is not what we were told. Please explain more. Not sure who you are and how you would know this to be fact. Is the owner just telling you this? Are you the owner making like your someone else. We spoke to the victim. The victim E-mailed us the reply above, why would the victim lie about this? This is an attempt for you to make it look like Mulholland Auto (a Rip-off) was going to take care of this anyway. I will say, this approach is different from most who victimize their customers. Liars.

To whom it May concern :

You have a write up in your rip off report about Mulholand auto
on site and I think that some explaining is needed.... Yes your Report did get satisfaction, Indirectly.... However I personally called the man after seeing the write up on your site, and not only did he tell me he was sorry for which he had no need to be apologizing to me. but was adament about asking me for all the information I had on it, He also called them the same day to rectify the problem, I think that it was more because he didn't know that this incident happed that it was not taken care of when he took the business back, ( there was no paperwork on them ) (the employee that caused the whole
problem didn't keep paperwork on the intentionally fraudulent work he did. )more than wanting to just act like it never happened at all. I didn't know this man at all but he went Out of his way to see that these people got more than what they deserved because it was his way of doing business.

Not only did he reimburse these people but gave them free Lube and Oil change to boot. I have been taking my car there since and it has been the best experience I have had with automotive people in this whole town and they still don't know me as
the person who called them about the rip-off report on them. I think that you should also add a " VERY WELL DONE " To " Mulholland Auto Repair " because I am IMPRESSED..... You don't see business standards like this man's to often anymore. Not to mention his repairs are of the best in town now.....!

I just wanted you to please add to my report that I originally had reported on 03/28/00 and it was updated on 04/02/00 under automotive rip off, Mulholland auto in Roseburg, Oregon 97470 that on August 25, 2000 the owners of Mulholland auto contacted me, because a customer of theirs had seen this on your website, informed them of this and anyway they contacted me and reimburse me all my money that I had paid to them.

They gave their sincere apologies and said that the guy that did this had already been fired to due not meeting their standards and they kept apologizing and gave me a free oil and lube change. So could you please put in my report that because of your company/website I was reimbursed my money and I WON!!!!!!
