Movingmycar - Southerland Auto Transport ripoff bait and switch, only take your money and never deliver DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this company!! Anderson California
This auto shipping company (which is a broker NOT a carrier) offers low rates while never intending to move your vehicle!
My experience: Contracted (and paid) Movingmycar.com to pick up my vehicle 16 days prior to my requested pickup date(they require 7-10days). Car was not picked up as scheduled. 3(THREE) months later and 'many' emails, Movingmycar admitted they were not able to transport my car and 'they' cancelled my order.
Per their contract, they (MMC)keep $200 of your money for processing your order. During my wait I received more than 5 emails from MMC 'suggesting' that I had not paid enough money for a carrier to pickup my car; (keep in mind that MMC 'quoted' the rate in the first place)and if I paid an additional $250 my car would be picked up faster.
The deal is: Movingmycar - Southerland makes $200 for every contract they take in period! Per their contract, and they never have to deliver 1 vehicle! 1 day after my order was cancelled I found another carrier and had my car 'delivered' in 8 days!!!
I have copies of every email sent to/from MMC and pages of notes taken during tele. calls. MMC also states you will receive your refund within 30 days of cancellation. this is B.S. It took me 62 days and over 4 hours of telephone calls to get my refund LESS $200 DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this company!!
