Bait and switch.  Ripped off twice now.

The first time we went to Moon Valley was when I had just moved to the Valley.  I ordered complete landscaping for my front yard.  All of which died the first summer.  When we went back to complain, the staff told us how the girl who sold us everything was the girlfriend a one of the managers girlfriends.  She worked there three weeks, didn't know a thing about landscaping, and had been fired shortly afterwards.  She had sold us plants that could not tolerate direct sunlight.  Moon Valley replaced everything free of cost, but we decided to avoid them for the next eight years.

Two weeks ago, we decided to get a head start on planting for the summer.  We needed a shade tree and had settled on a Mesquite.  An obviously new employee assisted us with a more experienced salesman.  We were shown a mature tree that had outgrown it's 24" box.  They offered us the lower price even though it was an larger tree.  We had planned on spending the money for a larger 36" boxed tree, so it seemed like a good deal.  We did note that the salesman was evasive about the costs throughout the conversation we had, but when everything was in writing, we left happy.

Yesterday, the tree was delivered. But it wasn't our tree.  It had a trunk that was an inch thick, was four to five feet shorter, and almost completely devoid of leaves.  The one we chose was near four inches thick and full of leaves.  On top of that, it had a split trunk, with the second trunk larger than the one which was delivered.  I was furious, but the manager, Aaron, said he would correct the mistake.

When I arrived today, I went right to where our tree was.  They had placed it in the larger box, but I could tell it was the same tree otherwise.  The manager said that we would have pay more for the tree if we wanted it.  I couldn't believe how stupid this was... it's not even a cost effective bait and switch.  They refunded the money and will be pulling the tree out, but I will never shop there again.  I can't believe that they would think their customers wouldn't notice such a massive difference when the tree was delivered.

Bait and switch is a form of FRAUD!!  (See, I can use CAPS LOCK too).

We thought it strange that the salesman was evasive on price and that there was another associate watching the entire transaction.  Both associates knew what we had purchased and agreed upon when we signed the CONTRACT.  As I paid for the product in full, this is considered CONSIDERATION, which is legally binding.  Moon Valley ignored the legal CONTRACT they had agreed and entered into.  When I returned and asked that they fullfill their contract, they required more money in order for them to fullfill thier CONTRACT.

This is a BREACH OF CONTRACT, which is ILLEGAL.  Moon Valley attempted to DEFRAUD me by providing a poor substitute for what we had agreed upon.  As two associates knowingly accepted and marked our purchase, we can only assume that they reneged on their end of the deal in order to increase their profit on the transaction.  To the companies credit, an assocaite did reach out later this afternoon offering a discount on an acceptable product.  However, as I assume that only someone from Moon Valley would have written the prior rebuttal, I am no longer considering that option, nor am I considering removing my highly negative, yet entirely accurate review of this attempted rip off.

So where is the ripoff?? Have YOU NEVER MADE A MISTAKE?? You seem awful happy to make a FAKE report. Someone grabbed the wrong tree. Managment address your concerns and made it right. So even when they make it right you STILL feel the need to vent your hatred all over the web. Good thing is that THEY DONT NEED YOU AS A CUSTOMER. Youre one of those people who b**** to b****. Even when they make it right, you still run your mouth lying about them. Atleast you had SOME honesty and admitted that they fixed the issue.

Remind the entire web going public when it was that YOU attained ABOSULTE PERFECTION???? Oh thats right....YOU NEVER DID!! Stop being so hypercritical over a mistake. They made it right. Youre just a cyber bully attempting to get something for nothing because of a mistake. I wonder how you would feel if I just took the inititive and informed them of your nasty post. I wonder how YOU would feel. In that instance your mistake would have been running your mouth online bad mouthing them EVEN AFTER they took care of it. And when you are paying and paying and paying for your slander and defamation of character maybe you will see how it feels to be made a villian because of a "mistake".

I swear you sheep just keep getting dumber and dumber. I wonder if that plate of mean comes with a side of b*****.
