Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I recently joined with momsWIN and was going to start my home business. I listened to the informational call and talked with my "mentor" a few times before giving her my debit card #, social security #, etc. It cost 29$ to join and I was to get started training the next day.

I ran into some information on-line that same evening regarding others feeling ripped-off, mislead, etc, by this same company. I quickly e-mailed her telling her that I was having second thoughts and that I needed answers to the questions I found on-line. Things basically that you evidently find out later once you're in. I asked her to not file my papers if she hadn't already and to get back to me with answers. She never did.

In order to cancell my membership, I needed my customer ID #. After reading some of the Melaleuca problems on this site, I wanted to make sure I did everything exactly as asked to be disenrolled. So I requested twice for my representative to tell me if she had filed the paperwork and to give me my ID if she had. Still no word from this woman who was never more that 3 minutes early or late for a phone call appointment when I was interested. So I had to call Melaleuca and tell them I hadn't received my ID# and needed it to get logged-in, she gave it to me and I typed up my letter to Melaleuca.

I am making sure that they sign it and return the signature to me so I know for sure they received it.

Aside from the above mentioned concerns, I should let you all know that as a Melaleuca representative, I am required to buy 35 points of products a month and if I don't they send me whatever I picked or anything. The cost is around 50$ for 35 points. Since I joined so close to the end of the month, if I never received my ID#, and never cancelled, Melaleuca would be sending me a 50$ order here in a couple weeks. This would give my enroller the commission off my order.

I just want people to beware. The website looks so supportive of moms and makes us feel like we can work at home and spend time with our children. I did some math and figured out that if I enrolled 20 people who all only bought the minimum, then I could have my point requirements covered every month.

Hardly seems worth all the work to have a bunch of products I don't use now. I know some people use 50$ of personal products and household cleaners, vitamins, etc. each month. But when I looked around my house, I noticed that my 7$ organic facial cleanser is almost a year old and 1/4 gone. I have very short hair and my shampoo lasts about a year. I just could not find enough stuff that I would actually use to make it worth it. They have a 5 step laundry package, I am lucky enough to just get to the laundry, let alone have 5 products to make sure I put them at the right time.

Remember, momswin and the moms team are all businesses. If they can teach you how to market so others will be interested, they know very well how to hook you too. Get very informed, ask lots of questions, and don't get sucked in by all the posetivity because that goes bye-bye once you aren't sure.

If your contact person laughs a lot upon answering the phone and throughout most of the call to the point where you almost think she is on happy meds, it may just be the very person I was with. I don't mention her name because I want everyone to have their own opinion and experience. I want you to know what to watch out for.

I'm with MomsWin, and I love the training and support. The one thing I do different is add online conference to my calls to let women that are interested in working at home would they like to hear it over the phone or online. Alot of people choose online. This is what Melaleuca wants actually. Online conferencing is the closest to warm market presentations as you're going to get, and I have been called by Melaleuca warning me about working their business online in general with Moms sites. They rather we work warm market. The only problem is that even though the 30 mins presso works because alot of women do understand that it's just an introduction, and you can only fit so many details in 30mins and make sure you have all the important points, at least with online conferencing I can give a regular New Horizons presentation which can take an hour for me. ;) I was on the training calls last weekend and one of the top leaders of the business was saying how she's been doing alot of one-on-ones lately. This is the great thing about Melaleuca. The business can be built so many different ways. Do you know how many people join this business that don't even have internet access? DUH!!!! I know someone that said, they heard the overview, and wanted to join Melaleuca, but they didn't like Momswin. If you were to call Adriana the CEO and tell her that, I doubt if she gives you too much argument. She will still be happy you want to be a customer regardless of her websites and online support team, and that's the whole point. I have customers that don't work this business online at all, but they still use their momswin websites just to keep their contacts organized and training. I also use www.weekly-calls.com because of how flexible Melaleuca is and how any customer can help present for one another (esp for any product specific presentations you want to 3-way someone on.) Please get all the details. When you get your business kit.. READ IT!! Sheeeeesh It shouldn't take you longer than 120 days to figure out if this business is for you should it? Hi there everyone *smiles* I am sorry for those who have had troubles with MomsWin. I myself am a self employed MOM with Momswin. I am new to this and it is a GREAT experience. My mentor is GREAT! She has taught me alot even just over the phone and we are not just business partners but we have also made a friendship as moms tend to do. I also would like you to know that I am NOT able to work in the normal working world. I am a disabled Mom with a disabilty that keeps me from working a physical labor job NO I am NOT retarded !! I have a disability that I am constantly hurting ALL the time not one time I am not hurting and so I have to stay home by Doctors/Specialists orders. As far as Momswin goes they have been more then helpful to show me the ropes of my own business in my own home.So everything is going GREAT! I love Momswin and I love the products too! As far as the money to sign up I want you to know that it doesn't go to Momswin it goes to the product company ONLY where you are getting products from. I have been treated very well by both places. They are so helpful and it is so sad to see people complain about the 2. It takes YOU to make it happen and work for you! If you DON'T then that is your own fault no one elses. If you work in the working world out there and you love it GREAT I am so HAPPY for you! If you work at Home GREAT I am also HAPPY for you! I wish I could to do BOTH because I could never let MomsWin go they have been there for me everytime I need my team. As for the people that use bad language that I have read in here and also to put people down. It is so sad to see and hear people like you.It is just really sad to see, maybe you had a bad experience with either companies sorry to hear that, but I HAVEN'T and I WON'T but you need not be mean and put people down about what happen to you. My thoughts are you need to go to the source that you had problems with and take care of it If you feel as though we are bothering you when we call you - Then I ask you - WHY do you think that? Why did you sign up to request for information in the beginning? For some reason you wanted to know about this work at home buisness for a good reason. If you don't want us to contact you then you should go down the email and press on don't send me anymore email. Then we will understand that you are NOT interested anymore. but to sit in here and complain I just don't want to hear it especially when you haven't told us by unsuscribing to our email system.Until you do you will recieve more emails and more calls because if you haven't done this yet then you are telling us you are still interested. So if you aren't please change the info. If we call you and you say no thank you I am not interested then ok so you are not, I will accept it. Not everyone wants to work at home but there are some LIKE ME that can't work out of the home. Everybody has their own lives to lead.We all work different types of careers and in different places. We all have a our favorite things we all like to do. Mine is to be the Best Mom in the world to my son and make sure that my home has safe products in it to make sure we BETTER OUR HEALTH with Great products! Yes I have noticed a difference in some things since we switch over to the BEST PRODUCTS!! All GOOD things!! A LOVING & CARING MOM IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN

MomsWIN is a team solution

I have read many of the responses to this ripoff report and I have to say that in general I agree with the MomsWIN team members, like myself, who think that the person reporting this problem doesn't know what she is talking about or left out a lot of information to make her side sound better. MomsWIN partners with us to provide free training, support and Melaleuca-approved information to help us start a home based business. However, ultimately this is a home based business and YOU are the owner. We each take ownership (this means responsibility!!) for our actions. If you don't feel comfortable working with people who don't have a lot of money and who don't think they can afford to purchase products with Melaleuca, then don't. If you are not comfortable with any aspect of MomsWIN, report it to your mentor or even Melaleuca. Don't just complain, do something valuable! I do see that having a "mentor" with MomsWIN who really dropped the ball is very hard. But you can't blame that on a company that does its very best to make sure that doesn't happen. Nobody says that Sears is a scam just because they had bad customer service! MomsWIN was and is a company that is trying to promote the same ideals as Melaleuca . . . working together to reach our goals. Sometimes not every team member does her share, but the team as a whole is a good one. By the way, all the products have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so you could have returned them AND the membership fee is also refundable within the first 4 months!

I posted here awhile back about Melalueca. At that time I wanted to join, now do not get me wrong I know that there products are excellent,I have tried them. But to make a buisness out of it I decided that this buisness was not for me.The way that you advertise and how you cannot use the company name I didn't understand and i could not promote a comapany that I wasn't sure about.I know that there are people that swear that this buisness has provided financial independence but from what I have seen it is not so easy.I found a buisness that is so different and I am happy with the choice that I have made.I would suggest to people that do sign on with this company:do not expect to make money easily. This is the type of buisness that takes time to build, and make sure that you read everything before signing!

I can not believe the lack of Adult actions in these complaints. It seems as though you were expecting to join something and have someone else teach you how to end your misery in the financial situation you were in overnight! NO WHERE do I see it advertised or promised for you to "Get Rich Quick" with either Moms WIN or with Melaleuca. Training is supplied, however did you even attempt to learn let alone do the work? You read something, so you changed your mind? You never even tried it and then expected what? The form you signed says if you want to cancel your MEMBERSHIP you have to write them a letter. Sounds fair to me, what was the problem there? I know with working as a supervisor for MOST of my Adult life, there are a HUGE number of people in this beautiful world that are looking for a FREE RIDE. Well with ANY home business, you are going to have to give it 100% which is a whole lot more than ANYONE I found that punched a time clock for me. Self-Employment is just that! YOU are the bread winner and YOU have to do the WORK! (NOT WHINE) It is SOOOOO Easy to trash a company (You could NEVER be the reason YOU didn't make money or succeed, could you?) I think a mirror is something that is lacking .. I checked out this company ... 20 years, this year, is what they hold in credit. WELL, I can tell you that MOST companies DO NOT last 20 years .. and never would if everyone felt the same way as you. I think you are certainly the minority and by the way all the complaints I have read .. I CAN'T see WHERE the COMPANY is to blame or the team you joined. Some complained about buying products from the company they are suppose to represent and were upset about that fact ... How are you to represent ANYTHING if you don't know what it is about? You go to a Movie and someone asks you if it was good? Hummmm ... I don't think it takes a college degree to discover you HAVE to have knowledge to do the talking and IF you were wanting to work a home business ... WHAT the world did you think you were going to find? Honestly, how many of the complainers have a college Degree? If you even do have a College Degree, WHAT fortune 500 company is going to PAY you to stay home with your kids? For the complainers that never even had any connection with the company in hand, SHAME ON YOU! Bashing is not the way to make yourself a success. If you went for an interview and had the same attitude that you portray with the I read something bad about your company mentality, I don't see more than an offer of Do You want fries with that kind of Job. You can find BAD stories about most any company out there .. Whether they are true or not? Well THAT is the true question! I know that I will sign with this company, it looks good and I DID read the paperwork BEFORE signing. There was NOTHING hidden from me. I was told: they want you to have all the information so you can make an informed decision .. and they DID answer ALL OF MY QUESTIONS! ... I am thank-ful for you making others aware the company is around and I hope OTHERS will do THEIR OWN investigations before reading your complaints and thinking of it as the gospel. I found out a family member has actually been in for over a year now and reached her financial goal already! That is Wonderful! My friend started a business two years ago and has not made a profit yet .. Plus has to leave home everyday! As for you, I really hope you find what you are looking for, however I don't think ANY home business will be right .. Unless you have a change of mind as to WHAT working for yourself is all about! God Bless,

My Story- How MomsWIN Changed my life

#7UPDATE Employee

Fri, April 15, 2005

I would like to start off by saying that I'm very sorry for those who had a bad experience with our organization. This is not something that happens often. I would like to tell you about how MomsWIN and Melaleuca has changed mine and my daughters life. I am a 23 year old single mother, when i firts got started with MomsWIN i couldn't even afford to pay my bills, and care for my daughter the way that i would have liked to. I barely had enough money to get my business off the ground. Then my mentor helped me with my first batch of leads and began doing my training. She helped me so much that words of graditude don't even begin to explain how grateful I am for her help. Since getting involved with our company my life has changed. I KNow now that the things that were concerns of mine in the past will never be concerns of mine again. This is all thanks to MomsWIN and Melaleuca. I'm not the only one who has had a life changing experience, many of the people who are in this company go through things much the same as mine. I wanted the world to know how wonderful Melaleuca and MomsWIN really are. Thank you for everything

I am sorry that anyone has a bad experience with MomsWIN. Don't put down something you haven't really tried with effort. I hear about people saying they recieve so many back up orders and were charged hundreds of dollars to their accounts, if that were even true, don't you think you would be smart enough to call your bank and have them put a block on the company. And you only recieve 2 backup orders and you are done. To add to everything you have 4 months to try out the company. And you should have listened to the call that they give you. If there was even one thing you didn't like, you sholdn't have commited to it. And to the Australia person, DON'T CALL PEOPLE RETARTED. That is so RUDE.

This is to Andrea from West Salem, Wisconsin. I am happy to see that you had a good experience with Moms Win. Not everyone is that fortunate. I agree wholeheartedly with the comment posted by Diana of Euclid, Ohio. I myself have a career and I am suceeding in it as well as furthering myself by completing my degree. Home based businesses whether they be a business opportunity or one you do yourself, can fail or suceed based on how you go through the process and present yourself. I tried for an entire year to do my own Nanny placement service which was based entirely online, it failed miserably despite all the advice I got from personal friend who is also an entrepreneur. However I still had my own career to continue, and decided to try this unique business venture at a later date. Maybe when the kids who are preteens are older and I could devote all of my time to it. I myself am happy to see that alot of moms here suceeded in this business opportunity, it is great to be able to stay at home and work while caring for your family. I also got that opportunity until the kids grew up and both began going to school, I did daycare for two families in my home so that I could stay with my kids. It was a wonderful experience, a "business opportunity" I would not trade for the world. Take care everyone. And I hope Moms Win moms who visit this website suceed! God Bless,

I apoligize to anyone who has had any problems with MomsWIN. But, all of you with negitive responses need to do your homework and look into businesses before you respond or write into this website. First of all, MomsWIN is a BUSINESS OPPORTUNIY, not a job. Secondly, you pay NOTHING to MomsWIN. There is, however, a fee to get preferred customer prices at Melaleuca, so according to all of the negtive attitudes, joining Sams Club is also a scam. If you go through these responses you will see a pattern. I think you will find more positive responses than negitive. Every company has customers that are upset with them about one thing or another. With the billions of people in the World it is very difficult to keep everyone happy. And to the person who responded on 10/17, if you have to put comments on this website again, please use constructive critisism and leave our Holy Father out of it. He is a blessed Man and we are all only trying to make the world a safer place for our children.

I am sorry to those that had a bad experience but don't ruin the opportunity for others that is looking for legitimate home businesses and know how to work hard. I read these reports at the top and felt really angry that someone could say such a thing about MomsWin. I am a part of MomsWin and proud to be. My business partner/mentor is always there for me and she would not have it any other way. Now i am implementing the same things with my team that i run. I love doing the business and using the products which by the way really isn't that much if you think how much money you spend in the regular store for products then compare the length of time that our products last you will have to buy at least 2 or 3 in the regular store to top our one. PS THEY ARE NON-TOXIC FOR YOUR FAMILY!!! GET THE MESSAGE. If you really cared for your family money would not matter when it comes to making them healthier. My business is very successful and i owe it all to MomsWin. Thanx to my mentor you know who you are!! To all the MomsWin members keep building your financial freedom. Reach for the starz!!

Its not easy coming to a site like this. Frankly, my head hurts because sites about scams only give you a certain 'negative' feeling dont they? Right now I'm on the phone listening to a convo haha. Its ok to be positive about a business but before passing something off as being a scam, remember that with every business it takes hard work and determination. I'm sorry about your experiences although noting the date written it was quite some time ago. And I just recently joined this particular org. I didn't pay them anything you know? If you actually listened to any of the conversations you would understand that you dont pay momswin anything. To all of you who do eventually decide to go for home business...and of course many of you moms...remember its not easy but I'm sure it does have its rewards....thanks for your time and I hope you all succeed in whatever business you do embark on... ;) PS. they give alot of info on good organizational skills...

I am sorry to read about your bad experiences with momsWIN. I am a member of momswin and started as a customer first and tried the products for several months and LOVED everything I've tried. I didn't have a problem spending 35 product points a month. I have a family also but we all brush our teeth, wash our hair, take showers, and our laundry is always in need of being washed. The everyday things you do is what you readjust your spending to buy. There are other products as well that are wonderful and as far as my enroller and other members of this organization that I've had the pleasure of working with, I would never ask for anything different. Even if I only make enough to cover my purchases, that is like washing my hair and brushing my teeth for free and you can't beat that. I am new and I try very hard to lead my few enrollees and I utilize all trainings I've heard and people I can reach to help. MomsWIN is not a scam and I am proud to be a member.

Hi there, I am a part of MomsWIN in Australia and I would like to tell you that MomsWIN is far from a scam. I have been part of MomsWIN since January 2004 and have had all the support and information that I need. I have nothing but positive feedback, positive influence and the best team I could ask for. The mums in my team are helpful, polite and there when I need them - either by phone, email or IM on Yahoo. I am in constant contact with my team leaders and those who are my senior directors etc. If I were a part of a scam I would not be doing as well as I am and would not have a business to run - which I most certainly do have. I apologise for your bad experience wiht the person that you dealt with in MomsWIN, but she was a bad apple. We are most certainly NOT like that at all - its a shame that you have now been put off this great business due to a bad egg! Good luck in your future business ventures - I know I will be succeeding with MomsWIN and being able to provide for my family like I have never been able to before - and I can do it from home!!!

Firstly let me say that IF by chance you were enrolled by someone who treated you as you say then I am truly sorry. Maybe you were enrolled by someone who was new or did not really understand the business fully. Maybe you were enrolled by someone who didn't feel interested in contacting you back after you said "nevermind". Either way, I am sorry for your experience but if you had truly been that worried about "Getting out" you would've called business development, you say you did but that you needed your customer ID #. Well, I know for a fact that this is incorrect. I had lost my customer ID number before and called BD and they gave me mine, for security reasons they will call you back on the phone number you registered with but they do not require that you have your ID number right there as they can look it up. Also, we CAN tell you about the price of enrollment before joining, most just choose not to because you are simply supposed to set appointments then dial them into the informational call so that way we can make sure they get ALL the information, correctly! We don't want anyone giving out false information or trying to explain something they do not understand if they happen to be new. We also do this so people can see we are a legitimate business and meet others on the call as well. Presenter IDs are ALWAYS given out for the calls so if you have any questions or concerns, you can report them along with the person who did the call. We do the calls so we can make sure people understand everything fully before joining, that way later on they can't say they didn't know this or that. Momswin is a wonderful business, my mentor is there for me whenever needed, day or night! Also as far as the required 35 product points, you knew this before you decided to join. This was all explained to you on the Overview call you attended before saying ok to joining, I know this because that call is REQUIRED before you can join. I also know this because that call is scripted to make sure that it is truthful and informative. All of our material must be first approved by the company we are partnered up with. The reason we can't mention the company we are partnered with is because they don't want someone to misrepresent them so they are mentioned on the informational call that they have already pre-approved. I can understand this fully personally, would you want someone who's been in the business 2 days to try to explain what your business is that has been around for over a decade or would you rather have someone who's been in the business for quite some time and you know will represent you correctly? As far as the Diana person goes who wrote that she "felt guilty", it was completely obvious that she was saying that to try and plug another business to everyone. That's why her "visit here" was deleted. You can call me at any time with any questions and I guarantee you I can answer them myself or will most certainly direct you to someone who can. You are free to contact ANYONE within MomsWIN at ANYTIME and ALL of their contact information is listed on everyone's website under members area. If you were a member, you'd be able to contact anyone at anytime, including the founder. Momswin works hard to train each other and to help each other build life long businesses, they have daily training calls, all day long and also chatroom discussions and message boards. Maybe Momswin just wasn't for you and I am sorry for that but don't go telling people that we aren't legit because we most certainly are! I love MomsWIN and I love the products, I have no problem making my 35 points a month, I can go over easily! Atleast when I am done ordering my products, I know I am not causing my family harm by putting toxins in their bodies that cause cancer and other diseases. I am protecting my family and making money while doing it. That 29 dollars to join, which by the way was on a 1 dollar promo special when I joined, was the best money I have ever spent! And it's a whole lot better than spending hundreds to thousands of dollars like most companies! We are not a MLM or a Pyramid and we are certainly not a scam. Oh and PS, we don't send you "50 dollars worth of junk" if you forget to order. YOU choose your back-up pack and you can only receive it ONE month that you don't order, the next month you are un-enrolled. So please, if you are going to complain on us, please atleast be honest about all things. Thank you. PROUD TO BE A MOMSWIN MEMBER!

it was by God's grace I didn't enroll anyone during my membership

#19UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, October 02, 2003

I'm so sorry for your bad experience.. I used to belong to Momswin and it was by God's grace I didn't enroll anyone during my membership, because I did not want to have to deal with anyone being unhappy. I actually called my leads everyday but was consumed by guilt everytime I picked up the phone. The guilt took over me after about a month I started calling less and less. I would try to give it a few days to calm down and tried to think positive and was told if I were positive it would come across to the people I was calling. However, I got headaches everytime I picked up the phone to call people. Needless to say, I felt very guilty because we were not allowed to mention the company we were marketing, we were not supposed to mention anything about the cost until we brought them on the conference calls, I was running into people that were extremely broke. I remembered bringing people on the conference call and they would have enrolled, but when they found out they had to be a customer they said they were not interested. However, on the training calls we learned to try to convince them to join. Well guess what, I am not going to force their products down people's throats. As expensive as the products are, they should come with a magic potion or something. I joined Momswin because I wanted to try working from home, but now I am selling used books, cd's, dvd's on Amazon and have made twice as much so far. If you are still looking for a home business opportunity and are a good salesperson or want to try it you should XXXXXXXXXXXX. So Sorry About Your Experience

I am so sorry that you had a bad experience with MomsWIN. I have found them to be nothing but wonderful. I talk with my coach every single day, even Sundays. He has made it a truly pleasant experience. Unfortunately, as with everything, there are going to be dissatisfied people. I don't, however, think it is fair to say that we are not legit. The company we teamed up with is a wonderful company and they have some of the best credentials that I have ever seen. I love working with them and my team members. Once again, I am sorry for your experience, but happy about mine.

MomsWin Did Not Win with Me!

I am so glad to have this website in my favorites. MomsWin has contacted me twice within the year regarding their "positively fanatical" work at home business for moms. HA! Two women from this company called me both times to inquire whether I was interested in joining their business. The first time I did not even return the call as I was really just not interested, the second time which was very recently I decided to see what was what. I set up an appointment for their 30 to 40 minute interview, but before I did this I wanted to read up on the company. Well this was not possible, I only received emails on the company from my suspossed mentor nothing more. She informed me that due to alot of internet scams around they were not allowed to give a website address. This sounded kind of suspicious to me, so before giving these scam artists $30 of my hard earned money, I went here to check on up on them. Low and behold there was just one report but nevertheless what I was looking for. I am sorry to hear that the person involved did not get to this website sooner, please mark it in favorites like I did because it is certainly a life and money saver. Thanks,
