Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was in MomsWin for about 7 months. MomsWin is affiliated with Melaleuca.

I was so excited to have found a home business of my own that I knew if I worked hard this could give me financial freedom to quit my job.

In the 6(the last month I didn't do any of these things) months I had been with MomsWin, I bought leads, which was suggested to me if I wanted to succeed in this business, worked many countless hours, and totally worked the business of how I was taught. I worked MomsWin's so called proven system.

At the end of 6 months, I decided to look for something else to do from home. I called my mentor, to inform her of my decision, however keeping MomsWin and Melaleuca on the back burner, just because I did like most of their products.

Like I said before, I had bought leads with my own money. Yes, some were given to me also. I had a women who was working the business hard, and trying very hard to succeed.

I decided I was going to give her the leads that I had in my database. (also we are given a database included with our website, no matter if we call 50, 100, or 150 people a day, we needed to update the notes daily on each one of these people. Which can take hours to do) I went to send her my leads and most of them were gone. Of course I was confused as to why they weren't their. I called my mentor, and she said since I wasn't doing the business anymore, she was taking them out and giving them to people who were going to follow through and call these leads. I didn't care about the leads she had given me, however I was very upset that she had the right to go into my database and transfer my leads that I bought to other people.

MomsWin says that this is your business, however if you don't buy leads each month, you won't succeed. The women that founded MomsWin, Ariana Reed-Hager, this is actually her business not yours because you have to follow her rules and if you don't follow her rules your leads can be taken away from you, your website can be taken, and your business with MomsWin can also be taken. I understand that their needs to be rules to each business, however all of MomsWin rules are outragious!

When I requested information regarding MomsWin, they took me on an 30 minute overview that sounded great. However, they don't tell you all the facts. They want to lure anyone they can get their hands on the sign up. They don't like to take no for an answer. I was given old leads, and in some of the notes it said that this person and that person were not interested. Well, I was asked to call these people again to see if they changed their mind. When a person says no they mean no.

Right before I cancelled with MomsWin, they were putting out a new rule that if you had more that 300 leads in your database, the leads can be taken out of your database. And like I said before if the leads aren't updated, then they can also take these from you.

I even called Melaleuca and told them what had happened to me. They couldn't do anything about it since MomsWin was independently owned. It's to bad that MomsWin is also taking down Melaleuca. Melaleuca has some good products, however it is a business that is very hard work, and takes many long hours if you want to succeed. This is a business that you can't work just part-time with.

If you want to have a home business, please ask questions and get all the facts about the business. There are good home businesses out their because after my experience with MomsWin I went looking and finally found one. And nothing was hidden in her presentation. To this day everything she told me has been true, and she didn't hide anything from me.

Stay away from MomsWin, they are so hungry for a sign-up that they don't want to tell you all the facts. At the end of my home business with MomsWin, when a person did want to do the business or just become a customer their was a back-up order that everyone had to agree to. It was getting so that hardly anyone wanted to sign-up because of this. I was told not to tell the person about this, because when they had their next training it was mentioned in this call. Now isn't that dishonest?

I have also had a couple of people who wanted to opt out of Melaleuca. For a person to do this you need to send a letter of cancelation to them. Well it has been 3 months since this lady had sent her cancellation letter to them, then she sent them a certified letter, and her back-up orders are still coming in. Because if you don't order your back-up order comes to you automatically and your credit card gets charged for this. She is now very deeply in the negative with her checkbook because of this. She is not a happy camper!

I have more. When I opted out of MomsWin and Melaleuca, I had one women still working the business, one girl who wanted to start doing the business, and two customers. When someone stops doing the business these people automatically get bumped up to the person above you. My ex-mentor has not yet contacted them to see how they are doing, giving them a pat on the back, nothing.

This is the end of my report. Stay away from MomsWin. They are evil!

P.S. By the way I did get all my leads back that I paid for and gave them to the women that was working the business. I did have to give them away or they would take them.

The address given is of the company, Melaleuca. I did not have the address to the owner of MomsWin, Arian Reed-Hager.

Tiffany sounds like a stepford wife, With her sugared programed response. Mela is just a repackaged Amway. And I bet the founders of MOMSWin are former Quixtar. So Tiffany how much do you net a month? $3 like most of the others. Some business.

My experiences with MomsWin, obviously as you have read, had and still does have a negative response with my experience with this independent company. I will never recommend this company to anyone in the future, because of the dishonest behavior of my ex-mentor. (this person and her husband are well know with MomsWin, they have been with MomsWin for some time) This is in regards to all the people who think just because I don't use Melaleuca's products i'm putting my family in danger. I do agree that the products on the shelves in the stores today are VERY HARMFUL! However, if people do their research, Melaleuca's products ARE NOT the only products out on the market that are safe for your family to use. In my home all of my products I use are non-toxic. Most of them I make my self and some are bought from other companies on the internet. (which I have done extensive research regarding each product I use in my home, which are all non-toxic) I can also buy these products as needed, and I don't need to buy a certain amount of products a month. I am now in the process of researching products, companies, and home-made products for people to learn about other ways to help keep their families and home safe of all the horrible products that are in the grocery stores. If people do their research their are MANY other ways to have a non-toxic home. Go to google or ask and do a search for non-toxic products. Or type in non-toxic. There is lots of information! And many other ways then Melaleuca. Don't think just because I am not with MomsWin and Melaleuca my family is not safe. My laundry and dishwaher detergent is safe also, so if my grandaughter comes to visit and swallows this I truely know she is safe and she will live! *And this comment is to Ariana. If your company (MomsWin) is so honest, then why did my ex-mentor take my leads out of my database without my consent, leads I spent hundreds of dollors on? And the second question is if your company (Momswin) is so honest, then why didn't my ex-mentor want me NOT to tell my potential customers, and my future business people that I took on the 30 minute overview, that their is going to be a back-up order, which is that if they don't place their order an order of their choice will be sent to them automatically? She told me that after they sign up and their paper work is sent in, on their second call of training this would be told to them by the person doing the training call. I think it's because a lot of people didn't and doesn't want to sign up if they know a back-up order will be sent to them if they don't order. So maybe this is why she wanted us to hook, line and sink them to sign them up. Now that's honesty! So, whoever reads this or responses to this comment and tells me sorry for your experience, or sorry you got the wrong person. My ex-mentor and her husband is very well know with MomsWin. (as I mentioned before) Also, they were not just people that had just started the business, they had been in business for a while and when I cancelled were making a pretty good paycheck! So don't tell me that I must of got an unexperienced mentor, because I DIDN'T! To this day and in the future I will always inform people of MomsWin and the dishonesty I had received. As I have been doing in the past. I am also going to make it a priority in my life to inform people of other ways to make their home a non-toxic place for their family and friends. Instead of being involved with a company that wants people to think that this is the only way to go to get the toxins out of your home. Also, this is to all the people who read this and that are thinking of a home business. If you really, really, want to be with Melaleuca because of their products, great! More power to you. Just stay away from MomsWin! Their are many other independent owned businesses out their that deal with Melaleuca, like Stayin' Home and Lovin' it! Or call Melaleuca and ask for the different independent organizations that are part of Melaleuca for the home business aspect. If you don't even want to be a part of Melaleuca, however you want the product and health reason. There is an awesome company with a much better compensation plan. If you would like to e-mail me for the company name and the women for you to contact please do so. This women is awesome! I am not doing business with this company, however I do know about their non-toxic products, health line (awesome) and their compensation plan. And also this company is honest they tell you how it is, what you need to do and how to get their without lieing to any potential customers or business people. My e-mail is [email protected] Good luck to all the people with MomsWin, may your lives be lived with integrity, honesty, and you all have a new motto with me..... MomsWin... be the best you can be, hook em', line em', and sink em'! All suckers wanted!

I just want to say first off that I am sorry Michelle for your negative experience with MomsWIN. Personally, joining MomsWIN and Melaleuca was the best decision I ever made for both myself and my family. My daughter is almost 18 months old, at 11 months she ingested some of our tub and tile cleaner while I was cleaning, I turned my back for a split second and she had it in her mouth squirting...freaking out, I called Poision Control, told them it was manufactured by Melaleuca and the nice lady on the other line giggled and said "Oh honey calm down because your little girl will be fine if that's the case". She said had it been Scrubbing Bubbles or Lysol then I would've been making a trip to the hospital via an ambulance! A very dear friend of mine lost her son just months before hand after he ingested some cascade residue left over from the dishwasher while she was unloading them. Within minutes the cascade had completely eaten his esophagus away and there was nothing the EMT's nor the doctors could do for him, he died a day later, He was almost 2. I don't know about you but my children are the most important thing in the world to me and because of people like Ariana who cared enough about MY family, I am able to say today that I'll never again have to worry about an accidental poisioning occurring in my home! MomsWIN is an amazing tool for building your Melaleuca business and I am so proud to be affiliated with BOTH companies, they're truly on a mission to help others in every way possible. So many men, women and children have achieved physical AND financial wellness because of these companies, do you know what a true blessing it is to know that you've done everything in your power to ensure that your children's futures are secure not only financially but in wellness also? I don't know how you lost your leads with MomsWIN, I personally had to take 2 months off because of a family members extremely tough battle with a disease and therefore was unable to work my business for those two months. I did nothing and still received my Melaleuca check in the mail and when I came back to work, everything was exactly the way I left it. That's the great thing about MomsWIN, it's not a job...it's YOUR business and you choose how to build it, you're the boss! And if you're flip-floppy and you build "here and there" then it will show. You wouldn't open a hair salon and only show up to cut hair once a month and expect all of your customers to just be waiting around in line for that day you might show up would you? Well, I'd certainly hope not! Your Mela business is the same way, you reap what you sow. If you work hard and you dedicate yourself to helping others achieve wellness, then you'll see amazing success as well. If not, then you won't. My life is so much better because of what MomsWIN and Melaleuca had to offer me a year ago and I thank God everyday for bringing such amazing products into my home and my life. These are companies that truly care about others, after all; why else would Melaleuca be in the Inc. 500 Hall of Fame, have won the Blue Chip Enterprise Award, have it's CEO sit on the US Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as a Regional Vice Chair and be over a half a billion dollar company with solid credentials for 19 years? When you think about it, no scam could ever boast all of that with the records to prove it! I sincerely hope you acheive the success you're looking for Michelle but please, don't put other people off on an opportunity that just might save one of their children's lives one day just because you personally, didn't do well with the business aspect of it. After all, it is about so much more than money isn't it? It's about protecting our children and keeping them out of harms way, accidental poisioning is the # 1 killer in children under 5, with Melaleuca; that'll never happen. Now I don't know about others who might read this but to me personally, that's enough for me to say "YES"! My children are my life and I don't ever want to have to bury one of them. Thanks.

MomsWIN Honest Company ... Sorry for Michelle's experience

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, July 30, 2004

I am writing in response to the above claims made by Michelle from Fort Fairfield, MN. MomsWIN is strictly an internet tool for independent marketers to acquire more contacts. We serve the community and provide a service for the benefit of all. MomsWIN NEVER COLLECTS ANY MONEY. All new enrollees go through a very standardized procedure to ensure they understand the program and its parts in their entirety. All presentations made to potential new members are scripted and are not allowed to be deviated from. Only authorized presenters are allowed to speak with new enrollees. Further, after enrollment, new members are directed to two documents posted on the website: an Introduction as well as a 48 Hour Follow Up information packet. All of these measures are put in place to ensure complete and accurate information about the program is given. I have come to realize that there are a great number of people who do not truly understand the nature of home-based businesses. They underestimate the amount of hard work it takes to allow a business to thrive. They also underestimate the amount of money it takes to start their own businesses. MomsWIN tries very hard to impress upon them the gravity of the business they are undertaking. I provide them with some of the tools they need to be successful, but it is ultimately up to the independent marketer to succeed. I apologize to Michelle for her experience. I strive to have all of the people who use our service treat each other with respect and communicate their intentions honestly. However, since they are independent marketers, it is hard for MomsWIN to control their actions. We make the information readily available so that each new enrollee can make an informed decision about their participation. Again, I want to express my apologies to Michelle and wish her well in her future endeavors. Sincerely, Ariana Reed-Hager
